I like the Glen Waverley RSL because it’s my mum and dad’s favourite hang out. They LOVE it here, and they’ve made many friends here so I can totally understand why.
Everyone is so friendly, and because a lot of the people who come here are members of the RSL, you see the same familiar faces time and time again so it feels like a tight-knit little community all on its own.
As a member, you get really good discounts on drinks at the bar plus other special offers in the restaurant like a free meal in the restaurant on your birthday. There’s also a coffee/tea/hot chocolate machine and a biscuit jar that you can help yourself to for free. This is right next to the pokies machines so it must be to help keep everyone’s sugar levels up whilst they’re gambling their savings away.
Apparently they put on quite a New Year’s Eve event here as well. Good times.
I just think this place is cool for taking care of my folks and making them happy.

The Warramunga Restaurant at the Waverley RSL is a really high quality restaurant. It is named after the Royal Australian Navy destroyer that served in the Second World War and Korea.
The service is excellent. The waiting staff are polite, informative and do everything they can to make your experience pleasant. The food is beautiful. I normally grab either a chicken schnitzel or the roast of the day, and they are always really well presented and taste wonderful. A bit on the expensive side (with mains starting at $ 23.50), but it’s a great place to go with family for special occasions.

The Waverley RSL, located in Glen Waverley was a pleasant suprise.
To me, food wise, an RSL is an RSL. The Waverley manage to offer above average pub style meals in stylish, but comfortable surroundings. The prices are more than what you would usually pay at an RSL or pub, but the extra few dollars are worth it for the quality of what you are getting.
I went here for my birthday, and everyone left very happy with the meal. We even received a loyalty card, after 6 meals you receive a free meal which I thought was a nice touch.
The Waverley RSL also have your usual pokies room, a well equipped bar (with a huge array of wines), and are able to cater for functions and special occasions.
