Nice space overlooking the beautiful bay. Had the seafood platter and can’t complain. Nothing pretentious. Decent serves. Fair price.

A great find! Was using the ‘Entertainment Book’ as our guide this trip for $$ saving deals and the Surf Club had a 241, sold. I’ve been passing this club for years and always thought of it as a member-only place in a PRIME location. If you’re looking for good seafood with a great view and lovely sun soaked patio to enjoy a beer or cider on at a very reasonable price, then you’ve found it here. A wonderful way to enjoy Glenelg beach. We both got the fisherman’s plate which is essentially a personalized seafood platter, and for under $ 30 what a bargain. We added a couple of oyster kilpatrick’s each and left happy campers. For a casual seafood meal at a good price, I’d certainly recommend this spot. According to ‘Sarah B’ the Crows eat here… need I say more?! Enter from the side door, away from the Beach House or the stairs facing the water. (Note: for those not from Oz, the Crows are our local national footy team in Adelaide)

Relaxing vibe. Public is very welcomed here, unlike other life saving club in Adelaide. It suitable for any age groups. Well priced meals

Relaxed, bright and airy club overlooking tranquil Glenelg Beach. Great range of beers on tap, good wine list and a simple but good selection of well prepared meat and fish dishes. Good for groups; we were part of a group of 20. No Fuss!

Having not experienced the Surf Life Saving Club as a business, I’ll be reviewing my favourite part, their popular and top quality bar and bistro. With a huge dining hall which overlooks the Glenelg Foreshore, beautiful views, especially around sunset are almost guaranteed. The food is really good and there is a wide selection and new specials offering seasonal produce that takes up a huge wall behind the bar. The staff are friendly and willing to help you out if you want to make any alterations to your dish as they did with a friend of mine. Bookings are ESSENTIAL as there have been many times we have arrived and only just managed to get a table due to our lack of organisation. It is also a popular hang out for sporting clubs and the time I ate there alongside tables full of The Adelaide Crows Football Club most of my food ended up on the floor and not in my mouth due to my complete and utter lack of concentration because I was to busy staring at them. The vibe is casual and it does often host parties or presentation ceremonies from the Life Saving Events. This can lead to excess noise which can be annoying sometimes but if you are looking for a dead quiet(and let’s face it, boring) meal that you should overlook this one completely. Also very family friendly and great for birthdays or other celebrations.
