This is my local. All the staff are super friendly and love a chat; they never make you feel awkward either, which can be a pain at other gyms. I go to this gym for two reasons: 1) It’s the only gym that I know of nearby, that has a decent range of boxing equipment. I don’t actually use the ‘typical’ gym facilities that much and the fact that it has a long heavy bag, double end ball, speed ball, upper-cut bag and a tapered heavy bag all in the one TRX room is great! No other gym that I’ve looked at nearby has anywhere near that much equipment, unless they’re an actual boxing gym. 2) Staff are really friendly, as well as the members! They’re a bunch of great people there, and the mix of clientele reflects on the area. You have a bunch of oldies, mixing with 20-something body builders mixing with the 30 – 40 year old crowd doing classes mixing with the mid 20’s after work crowd, and no one is in each others’ way, or annoying one another! Perfect! If you’re like me and need somewhere with good, clean facilities and don’t want the drama of clashing gym cliques, this is the place to go. If you want boxing equipment but don’t want to pay for a gym membership AND a boxing fee, look no further. Only issues I have are that they don’t have any steam/sauna room services, or squash courts, but I can live with that.

A fair gym within the Goodlife gym chain. Not the newest, and not the flashest(no sauna or steam room area) but still clean and with good machines and large cardio area. It isn’t as busy as the city/valley Goodlife gyms. It does have a pool, not suitable for laps but good for stretching/water aerobics I imagine. It was flooded in the big floods of 2010 but has been fully repaired and is as good as new.
