We dropped in here just on spec for lunch without knowing the place or having heard of it. What a find. Lovely steamed seafood dumplings for entrée AND the best Schizuan dry chilli chicken I’ve had for a long time, here or China! We’ll definitely be back.

I could eat dumplings all day, every day, for the rest of my life. It all started in my teenage years of staying in my room playing video games all day. My devoted grandmother would knock on my door and then come in with a giant, steaming, plate of dumplings. The. PERFECT. Gamer fuel. Years later, I still crave them. However, with my grandma’s dumplings being of 5 star quality and me being thousands of miles away from them, I’m forced to scrounge for secondary options. Ju Dumpling House consistently always manages to satisfy my dumpling cravings. Ambiance: Pretty nice looking. It’s not that large of a restaurant, but they still made quite a bit of effort towards decorating it in a classy way. Beautiful polished tables, chairs, and art on the walls. Customer Service: They’re really attentive, but if you’re expecting friendliness from an authentic tiny Chinese restaurant, you’d be disappointed. They don’t smile, but get their job done efficiently. Food: Now let’s get straight to the point… dumplings dumplings dumplings. I normally prefer pan-fried over steamed, but with the delicious wraps this place has, the steamed aren’t too bad! They’re cheap as well, which means you can order numerous plates for all to share! My recommendations: ~ Pork Dumplings ~ Beef Dumplings Both steamed and pan-fried! I’ve tried the Xiao Long Bao here as well and they were pretty juicy. Not the best I’ve had — the meat tasted a bit off like sausage meat. However, if you’re not too particular with Xiao Long Bao, give it a try! — Overall, I’m very happy about my experiences with Ju Dumpling House. Try it for some delicious dumplings home away from home!

I love dumplings! Some many cultures around the world have their own style of dumpling but in my opinion no one does it better than the Chinese. The dumplings here are just about as good as at Aunties dumplings in Carnegie which is the same as me saying that someone else’s chicken soup is almost as good as my mums. To put it another way, come here for lunch or dinner the dumplings are amazing. The location and the décor are quite up market, however the price suggests otherwise making this a fantastic cheap eat. I love looking at the art work on the walls here as I enjoy my meal.
