A real find, a real gem, all breakfasts ordered here are fresh and made exactly as ordered. The food is quick, simple, delicious and made with care, something hard to find in Perth. The coffee is in my top 3 in Perth if not my best, and make sure to get some if the best croissants in town, the way they are meant to be, just like the ones I learned to appreciate in Paris.

Lincoln’s 102 is super sweet. There is the option to chill outside in the sunshine or hide away in the small, but beautifully decorated café. The menu is extensive but I had my heart set on a good coffee and a sweet treat. There is a large selection of cakes and slices with gluten free options. I couldn’t stop staring at the cupcakes but when I noticed a GF chocolate soufflé cake my mind was made up! L went with the red velvet cake which looked equally as divine. I also picked up a pistachio and walnut brownie to take home to E(because we all know how much she loves a treat) and she too was in chocolate heaven. The Chocolate Soufflé cake was creamy and decadent. Being a soufflé it wasn’t too heavy or rich and the small dab of double cream was the perfect accompaniment. L’s Red Velvet cake was smothered in chocolate sauce and featured a slather of cream cheese icing to cut the sweetness. She was in love. I’m a huge Lincoln’s 102 coffee fan, and I’ve never had anything to complain about. My usual soy long macchiato was strong and creamy, served in a super cute black and white mug and saucer combination. Very slick.

Yet another little gem hidden off Beaufort Street and that’s why we come here. Breakfasts are fresh and large and the Breakie Stack comes with bacon & hash browns or mushrooms and spinach both are lovely(depends on how sore your head is I guess). Coffee is good along nothing too exciting & Chai that come in a tea pot was very lovely but not hot enough. Staff are great and friendly, you can bring your dog or child here. A nice little spot for breakfast, cakes lots on the menu as mentioned by others and they did look good so perhaps a good café for after breakfast too,

Cute little café. Small inside but very warm And welcoming with pre made croissants, sandwich and wraps in the fridge. A nice range of home made goodies(red velvet cake, orange cake, brownies, chocolate soufflé, muffins and plenty more) can be found on the bench. We ordered a savory crêpe with mushroom, feta and spinach. A bit too much spinach and not enough mushroom for my liking. The fried egg on top was still a little raw and runny. Coffee was great and the coconut and mango muffin was delicious and fresh. My sister ordered the Bircher muslei but couldn’t to finish it due to orange peel bits. I tried it and liked it. I think the service is a little slow and not overly friendly. Would go back for baked goods and coffee, but probably not breakfast.

A quaint little local secret. It is like having breakfast in someone’s front yard it is that residential. They are excellent for breakfasts, huge servings and a variety of options. The poached eggs were cooked perfectly. The coffee was good but it was not the best I’ve had in Perth but it hit the spot none the less. The people were laid back and friendly and the customers were open to a chat. They are dog friendly and child friendly. A good spot to cure a hangover!

I really did enjoy the breakfast here and there was a lot on the menu that I wanted to try which I don’t get at a lot of places. I tried the bacon and avocado on toast with spinach, feta and pesto with a poached egg and it was delicious! The yummy soy and linseed bread was a highlight and my egg was poached perfectly. The only downside to Lincoln’s is the price of coffee. Because I’m lactose intolerant I have to order soy which on top of a $ 6 coffee is another .50c and then for a large it’s another .50c …if I wasn’t so desperate for caffeine I probably would’ve skipped it! The place is cute and I’d like to come back and try some of the yummy looking cakes next time.

Lincoln’s is such a cute little café to go catch up with a friend or just for a quick bite to eat! Me and my mum use to always go there for a Saturday lunch and I loved getting the chicken and pistachio sandwich on brioche bread yum! They have amazing cakes as well, notably the coconut and raspberry one! It is a small place though so better to go with just one or two other people otherwise it would be a bit crowded but Highly recommend!

Decided to try this place out for a second time. Firstly, it’s hidden away from the city, and conveniently fairly close to my house. I only discovered it when walking through the neighbourhood, and then being like, «wow, there’s a café there!» Anywho, it’s super cute inside and out. The staff are pretty friendly. The coffee is just mediocre unfortunately. I wanted so badly for it to just knock my face off, but was disappointed both times. Sad face :( Being a barista,(I hate saying that because I realise how bitchy it sounds) I’m always looking for something to wow me, and this u fortunately wasn’t it. I may still come back though because the pastries look pretty delish and it is so close to home.

Left feeling hungry and dissatisfied … Looking for somewhere different to eat after waking up early this morning(yes its a rarity) me and Susan came upon this café. Initial impressions were quite positive and the vibe seemed right. Lots of cakes were on display as mentioned in just about every other review of this place but we were here for breakfast. The menu options looked decent and we decided on the pancakes with raspberries and the crêpe with mushrooms and spinach and feta cheese. We also ordered some tea and coffee to go with our meals. Our positive impression didn’t last long. After finding a table to sit inside our meals promptly arrived. Nothing wrong with this except … where were the drinks?! Thinking they might come shortly after, we decided to tuck into them as we were both hungry. Whilst my pancakes were presented quite nicely, the quantity of pancakes and size of the dish had me concerned. Were 2 little pancakes I could fit into my palm really feed me? Susan’s dish looked like a tiny crêpe thrown onto a sea of rocket(read cheap filler). Whilst my dish was edible(nowhere near the best pancakes I have had), her crêpe was bland, lacking flavour and drowning in rocket. A lack of creativity in the dish let it down. Its flavours also. I had just finished my dish(it only took a few bites) and Susan had given up on hers, when the drinks finally arrived. I was actually about to tell them not to bother as we had already finished our meals. Unfortunately it got worse here again. Not only did they come AFTER our meals were eaten/given up on, there was no apology for them being served so late. Whilst the wait staff were generally quite friendly an apology goes a long way even when its not your fault in particular ;) My coffee was«okay» but once again the green tea was pretty bland and lacking flavour. Failing to get through one cup of this and just finishing my coffee we decided to head off and find somewhere we could actually fill up. YES — we had to go somewhere else to get food. I am actually eating a lamb pie from the Tuck Shop right now that I had to get«take-away» in order to fill up. NOTIMPRESSED. A lot of people have raved on about the cakes here and in fairness they did look«interesting» but after our experience here its not worth coming back to check them out.

Food is good but servings a bit small for the price. Apple juice is magnificent. Coffee is prepared with care and heart.

For breakfast, lunch or snacks, Lincolns 102 is the perfect quaint café. The cakes are delicious, really thick slabs not little slivers for those calorie concious people. I do enjoy the gingerbread cake and the luxuriously large macadamia and caramel slice which I had to take home! My friend also raves about the red velvet cupcakes, so they are next on my list to try. The service is a bit slow at times, which proves annoying and I normally have a bit of Marie Antoinette moment/lack of patience for my cake. However, the tucked away location, that surprisingly still remains a suburban secret to some, makes up for it. I have been known to be a bit sneaky and ask for an affagato which is not of the menu, but they were kind enough to make it for me. Ohh and they only charged $ 3! But that is a secret only for Unilocalers, so use it now before they know what’s going on ;)

$ 6.50 for a takeaway mocha? Shiiiiyeeeeeet The Mocha was lovely, but a bitter aftertaste due to the price. Plenty of cakes and sweets that all look great.

arhhhhh my coffee local… I found this place round the corner for me when I was looking for Sunday morning coffee when I first moved to Mt Lawley… love the coffee and the fact the girls remember what I have. Great place to go on both Saturday or Sunday morning, midday or afternoon. Be warned the cakes are lovely and enticing and you will find it very hard to resist when you’re there.

Great coffee which would benefit from greater consistency and an improved response to issues raised.(I had a warm coffee and raised the issue and no steps were made to rectify with the matter). Great food! Very relaxing location in a residential area. Great for outdoor sitting. Eat the breakfast pastries!

Talk about a corner store café, this place oozes neighbourhood favourite charm. I get a real Gimore Girls town vibe about this place. People meeting friends, bumping into neighbours, and settling down to enjoy some great food and chatter. All the baked goods are made in house and are AMAZING. A fantastic spot for breakfast and I’ve been told that their chocolate porridge is really special. A bit of a local secret, Lincolns is so serene compared to the busy Beaufort strip. Lorelei would approve.

You know when you have a really good secret and it gets out, how the secret has less value. I guess that’s my opinion on Lincolns. It must have been phenomenal in its beginning stages, but the place has certainly outgrown its location and they haven’t done much to accommodate that. When the server arrived with my chai latte, I was staring at a pot, a lid, a cup, a silver bowl, a strainer, and a little bowl with a mixture of some sort. I asked the server what do I do with all this(as, I’ve never received a chai latte unprepared) and she didn’t know. Not helpful. In the end, it was the worst chai latte I’ve had. Could have been my fault, but direction would be nice. Or, since there is very little room on the bistro table, it would have been nice that the barista fixed it for me since that’s what I paid for and I assume you know what you’re doing. I enjoyed the dog sitting outside the door, guarding the place; however, chairs are quite hard to come by here and the inside is crammed. I found getting in and out rather stressful. The menu is expensive, count on spending $ 14+ for eggs. I ordered the white chocolate mocha bagel($ 7) just for the name. I can’t say it tasted like that, but it was really good. I swear that small bagel must of had a straight brown sugar coating. Lincolns on a Sunday at 10:00 a.m. is not the place to go if you aren’t wanting to be rushed.

I don’t know who took the pictures but oh geez they have made me hungry and I think the pictures should make you want to go and check it out. It is hidden out the way a little bit, which makes it all the more special, its like a little vintage wonderland. Full of delicious cakes, both in appearance and taste. There is nothing quite like a coffee and cake whilst sitting outside in the sun, people watching. That is my idea of happiness.

It’s all abut the baking at Lincolns. I haven’t strayed away from their fresh baked goods but I have heard from a few people that were disappointed when they did. The coffee isn’t as smooth as the butter in the pastries but I wonder is it just heir choice of bean. Their savoury muffins are very good and a great addition to a sunday newspaper morning and they are served with the inhouse relish which is quite addictive. If you veer away from the savoury option go for the lemon pancakes.

Claire is right, this is a bit of a local secret. I have a lot of meetings with people who live and work in the Mt Lawley area, and more often than not they end up here. The café is nice and quiet; its’ location in the vicinity of the old part of the suburb makes it feel cosy and a bit more comfortable than the swankier joints on Beaufort Street. In summer, it’s a nice place to score an outdoor table and while away the afternoon chatting to friends. I’m not sure about the grumpiness Claire mentions as I’ve never had a bad customer service experience here. This is also a good place for some quiet people-watching, as much of Perth’s arts community live in the area and frequent it for their daily coffee buzz. If you can’t tell, I’m a big fan of this place for coffee, though I’ve never actually tried their food; the only negative is that parking can be a little tricky in this part of Highgate, so if you are meeting somebody, be sure to allow enough time for a few laps of the block.

Hidden away from the happening Beaufort St strip, Lincolns 102. is housed in the slightly derelict part of Highgate and in accordance with this setting; they make the cheapest café food this side of town. The scenery includes some ramshackle houses and a overgrown vacant block; but this government housing area only lends to its character. The petite café has a charmingly ‘wrecked’ aesthetic, slightly unkept, a little bit vintage, and totally lovable. The coffee is excellent eight times out of ten and the food is a bit different. They offer things like gingerbread waffles and berry pancakes for breakfast. Filled crepes, tarts, bagels and brioche-breaded sandwiches make up some of the cabinet goodies. Lincolns 102 serve their savory dishes with their very tasty, home made relish. You can pick up a jar of it to take home. The mainstay at Lincolns is cakes. They rotate daily and the icing is always thick; just the way I like it. The orange cake is my favorite. Steer clear of the Blue Velvet Cake; its yummy but that amount of blue food colouring can’t be good for you. The barista is in no rush to get you your take-away coffee, but that’s all part of the relaxed vibe at this quaint corner café. The owner is a bit of a grumpy character, but the smiley blonde girl makes up for it. Stray from the popular Beaufort St cafes and give Lincolns 102 a whirl. The cakes are top notch. Psst…I have it on good authority that Tuesday is bake day ;)
