I recently discovered the $ 10 lunch specials and am very impressed. There is a choice of 10 meals, however I always opt for the salt and pepper calamari, salad and fries. Calamari perfectly cooked. A few of us had dinner there on a Thursday night. I opted for the lamb shanks…2 large shanks, mashed potato, peas and gravy. A lovely hearty meal for $ 19.90. Unfortunately the service was not up to the standard of the meals. After our mains were delivered, we did not see a waitress for the rest of the evening, which meant we had to take ourselves to the counter to order more drinks and our empty plates and empty glasses remained in front of us on the table. None of us was impressed by this!!!

Ahh the«indro hotel». The flow of this hotel is lacking between sections being the restraunt, Tab area, And pokies area. The food is good but a little overpriced. Theres nowhere to sit and relax with a beer unless you like the sound of traffic in the front, horse races in the tab, or the sound of poker machines in the back. The regulars that sit in the tab section are a little rowdy and may be driving away customers? 2 stars for me

I’ve heard about the good old days at the Indooroopilly Hotel, when it was a ragingly popular nightspot. Now it’s just a good place to go for a quiet(or not so quiet) drink and a feed. The hotel is located right next to Indooroopilly train station, a short walk from the shopping centre. It’s a big building, with several bars inside and function areas available. During my brief daytime visit, the service was excellent, the drinks were very affordable, and the meals were well priced and tasty. A great place for a quiet afternoon.

I was surprised to see this place empty-ish after the refurbishments a few years ago. We needed somewhere to eat after a movie at El Dorado and thought we’d try them out seeing they looked new and clean and airconditioned… it was okay. We had garlic bread to start at the bistro and the Indooroopilly Classic Steak Sandwich and fish and chips. I thought the steak sandwich was nice but for 15 bucks I really expected there to be less thick bread and more stuff in the actual burger itself. The fish and chips were okay, another fillet wouldn’t have hurt because the fish itself was quite small sitting on top a mountain of chips that may have been a little undercooked and soggy… so not their best. It is quite relaxing inside but we were the only people there at a peak hour lunch time and I do say there’s a reason for that. I guess you can always go to the pokies next door to the bistro?

The Indooroopilly Hotel, is not actually a hotel but more of a restaurant/bar type of place. It has gone through a few refurbishments throughout the years and was once a very popular place for young adults. I have been to this place a few times for private functions and for casual drinks and have been satisfied with the place. This place is rather spacious and there are different sections according to your needs. There is a restaurant/café area, a pub area and a function room which can be hired out. The place also offers $ 10 lunch specials which is always nice for those on a budget. The function room is very large and the place also offers catering. I remember finding the food to be quite nice, nothing special but nice as far as catering food goes. The service has always seemed to be pretty good, the staff are generally pretty polite and are all dressed in clean, respectable attire. This place is nothing too special but it is a nice option if you are looking for a pub or restaurant in Indooroopilly. The function room is also pretty good, it is nice and spacious and good for very large groups.
