Chargrill Charlies

Sadly our experience was not great at all. Had the chicken schnitzel roll. Roll was stale and the schnitzel tasted old and dry.
Fries where cold. So overall sad experience. Maybe it was just a bad day. But it is a Friday night so would expect top notch. Oh well.

Great schnitzel roll — Mayo AND gravy! Chips are excellent and it’s usually very quick service

Lane Cove plaza has quite a few different types of lunch time options. Chargrill Charlies is a BBQ chicken place with a hint of up market. Chicken is roasted, butterflied and quartered. Chicken is cooked well with a nice arrangement of sauces, from Perri perri, Thai lemon or greek.
The salads are fresh and simple. Good selection from Greek, Cesar, Thai or potato.
The wedges are over the top. I suspect they are cooked in duck fat. They are addictive and very tasty. Crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside.
The staff are warm, friendly and prompt.
It does get busy but thats a reflection of their popularity.
If your stuck for dinner and want to take the easy way out this would not disappoint.
