The food was nice and so was the service. I tend to agree with the other reviewer, that, unfortunately, the stars don’t quite align to make this place amazing. I will go back, as we are local and there aren’t too many great steaks within waking distance of our house. And I really cannot complain about the food. It was fresh and it was nice and the staff were friendly.

Oliver’s @ Manly is a classy little restaurant right near the Manly Marina. I have only been here once and I have to say, I am not sure I would back. Don’t get me wrong, the food was good although a bit over priced and the location fantastic, although you can’t really see the water because of the trees.
But on the plus side, the golden syrup pudding is to die for and the cocktails are a high light. The outdoor seating area on the second level is quite comfortable and cosy and gets a nice cool breeze off the water. Still, I am not quite sure what it is but something didn’t quite ‘pop’ for me. Nice meals, great desserts but perhaps not enough to become a regular.
