So today was my second visit to The Daily Grind… first time round I had a takeaway coffee & pastry but much confusion in the busy Sunday morning crowd awaiting their orders & someone else left with my coffee… so after 15 minutes of waiting for the first coffee & another 5 for the replacement I finally got my order… not the greatest coffee to go experience. In spite of the above I decided to take a friend their for brunch as the menu looked delicious. The place was not particularly busy & after a 15 – 20 minute wait I had to ask where our drinks were as again people were coming & going long after we had placed our order. The drinks finally arrived but still no sign of the food, peering over the counter it appeared that the chef was cleaning up & not cooking anything. It seemed that neither our food or drink order had been passed on when we first ordered. The staff were very apologetic & thankfully the food was worth the wait. I doubt I’ll be heading back again anytime soon though. Overall The Daily Grind is a nice place but from my experience not the most efficient.

The super soft muffins and cupcakes simply melt in your mouth, making you forget the daily grind life can bring. The staff are really lovely too. I love that they are gluten– free friendly too– with lots of food options for those who avoid the protein.
