Grabbed Dinner and Lunch a few times, was good a while ago, seems to be drifting downhill now. Just ate there and stomache feels a bit off now. All around, not recommended. Al also, not an Italian yestaurant really, more like pub food.

Something happened. A month ago I was more than happy to go here(sure I knew the fish would probably be over cooked and the the dishes wouldn’t be exactly exciting). But last night changed everything. No table service meant that there were less staff and I had to get my own menus and hunt down my own drinks list from another table. When I went to order it was a staff member from the near by burger place in her burger uniform(I wasn’t too phased because the two staff members behind the counter were too busy to take my order because of the back log of drink orders). But when I asked her what fish of the day was, she told me barramundi(it wasn’t. it was red emperor). our meals were to be expected. but the real lowlight was that they don’t clear your plates until you leave. we ended up placing them on a near by table so that we can finish our drinks. given better service we probably would have stayed for another drink, as I think they’re trying to market the place as a bar too. the worst part was that one of the girls used the strongest damn cleaner on a massive wooden table next to us and it was so over powering that a guy near us started coughing! obviously no one went to the restaurant 101 class. it’s a pity that this place will stay busy no matter what(low prices). but don’t market yourself as a restaurant if you’re taking away all the parts that make going out to dinner a good experience.

Great place for a mid week meal. Limited menu but the food is consistently nice. It’s busy most nights so I’d recommend making a reservation. Usual pub food but also have specialty nights.

The food here is almost always tasty and well made. The staff are really friendly and the service is great. I frequently go here for lunch on my own. Recommendations — Pork belly, steak, thai beef salad and calamari.

You know those sleezy guys from kitchen nightmares who you see and ask ‘do these people really exist?’ Sadly they do and one works here. The guy greeting people at dinner when we went was awkwardly annoying with a terrible lineup of dodgy jokes and deflections of questions. When asked what a peroni beer was like he giggled, paused and said ‘it’s Italian beer, it’s from Italy’. That’s the kind of insider knowledge I’m looking for! In saying this, at least someone in Perth is having a go at being friendly and showing some character. Maybe he was new or was having an off night? Other than that the food was good: pretty much just pub food but that makes sense. Steaks were well cooked and sides were what you would expect. Nothing standout but certainly nothing bad. The rest of the service was pretty standard, a drink was stuffed up but apologetically corrected in a timely and friendly fashion. Only a few beers on tap which seems strange given the pub setting. Not a place I would recommend but if I happened to be nearby or invited here by others I certainly wouldn’t drag my feet. Oh It gets windy!!! Wayward menus are surely going to cause a nearby car accident one day…

Lovely premises, has a industrial retro feel to it. We had a group of 9 ppl 5 in wheelchairs and decided to try their $ 9.95 big breakfast on a Sunday morning. Great value for money. Service was fairly quick aswell. The only problem we encountered was one if the staff was a bid rude, telling us that we should if phoned ahead so they could set the table for us. The restaurant was empty as they only just opened and it took them all of 2 mins to rearrange a few things to accommodate us. It wouldn’t of hurt if she smiled either just saying.

They do some very cheap meal deals here that do the job, but which deliver pretty much what you’d expect for the price — simple food you could prepare at home from supermarket ingredients, but you’re really paying for not having to cook or clean up. Unfortunately with these cheap specials, when they’re not done well they don’t entice people to come back and try the more expensive menu items. However, they have put some new bar tables outside, so it may well be quite a nice spot for a couple of beers come summer.

The lunch specials here are great value, $ 14.95 gets you a meal and a beer, wine or soft drink. We had the Chicken Schnitzel and it was delicious. The kids meals are only $ 6.95 and were very generous serves, the only complaint I could have is that they dont come with a drink but even with ordering that extra it’s still a great deal.

We came here for breakfast I ordered traditional eegs benedict on italian bread was $ 15 no a lot going on the holland sauce really sour and runny, spinnich was soggy. Hot Chocolate was $ 4.50 tasted like water !!! Service was like a slug we had dish after 20 minutes then waiting another near 30 minutes for our hot drink!

Went here for a quick dinner during the week, every week night they have specials and on this particular night it was 20% total bill. The menu is really odd, there are no vegetarian options and no salad? So wierd. I was struggling as I’m not really a red meat eater and there were only 2 Chicken dishes to choose from. I went for the Parma which was stock-standard with some gross little surprises in it(I don’t wanna talk about but… the chicken wasn’t so great) My bf ordered the salmon which actually looked really impressive! It was cooked perfectly and well presented. Probably the saving grace of the evening. The staff were friendly and attentive however I think they need to work in their menu before I would consider returning.

I don’t like to be harsh, but this place was so captivating with it’s lovely décor it was a shame the food and service was very average. Dined for lunch and spaghetti with seafood and chilli was in a bath of oil, my friends surf and turf was over cooked and the advertised«king prawns» left a very underwhelming plate to be eaten, my other friend had marinated squid which wasn’t all that marinated. I’ll give it a thumbs up for location, and setting. But staff weren’t very attentive and very little time management skills. This place could be great! Hope to come back to see it do better next time!

Good food and the prices are awesome. I don’t think there is a place in Perth that has this type of value. Service was great and better than most resturants. Ill be back

soo… where to go on a Monday night for dinner? Well an old haunt of mine would have been this place. Until yesterday when sadly i was told there was a new menu. The new menu = half the old menu. Scrapped is most of the seafood and the great roast vegetable salad i used to have. What is left is pub food at restaurant prices. Nothing looked appetising. Ended up deciding on having a quick grilled squid for entrée and my friend ordered the wedges, thinking we’d quickly leave afterwards and head to another establishment. The squid was 16 $ and the presentation was extremely unpleasant. Although the squid nicely cooked, it was dumped unceremoniously on top of the soggy(show style) chips. Not to be a negative nancy, the wedges were crispy. The wine list has changed too. Now all you can get by the glass is red or white house wine… Used to really like this place, good food at reasonable prices. Now thoroughly put off…

I come here all the time, my fave dishes are brekky: vegetarian(huge plate of toast, eggs, fetta, spinach, mushrooms) only $ 12 such great value lunch: chicken panini and chips, only $ 9 but huge serving and DELICIOUS dinner: the barramundi with potatoes, always cooked perfect around $ 23 or so. but worth it:) the wines are also reasonably priced, as are the cakes and coffees. service is good and prices even better. very good value

The prices here are pretty good, it was really quiet when we dined here but I can imagine it to get pretty full on the weekends. We were walking past when we were attracted to the sign at the front Half a dozen oysters for $ 7! now that’s bloody good. We decided to treat ourselves and they were very nice indeed. In fact I think we will come down here just for a little glass of wine and a dozen oysters every now and then, I can think of better places to be sitting, but it is still an OK spot. There isn’t too many places in Perth where you can indulge in something like this for such small change. The service was good, but then we were the only ones in the restaurant so you cant really get that wrong can you?
