Went in for a coffee. All three were below average. I would recommend that they buy better quality soy milk.

I am giving Sorrentos Café 3 stars but that is on the generous side. It’s quite a large establishment with the front of house enclosed from harsh winds, heated and with a promising layout and décor with stone walls and stool seating. The remainder or rather the rear portion feels liken a Diner with counters on two out of the three sides and unfortunately we chose to sit there. The menu was extensive and somewhat disjointed, incorporating burgers, pizza, pasta, modern Australian dishes, Asian noodle dishes and more. My ‘specials’ chicken burger wasn’t too bad and I enjoyed my hand cut fries. The Wagyu beef burger was also tasty as were their wedges. Their garlic bread was sweet and covered thickly in Parmesan and not a winner. The beer selection was small and the dessert options also quite small and pricey. A lemon tart for $ 7 was tasteless and I’ve had better for half the price. The staff were pleasant enough and the service was quick, given it was a quiet evening, but the atmosphere just wasn’t there.

Wow. Given a dirty table, attitude from staff(plus staff who it seems don’t seem to understand what English Breakfast Tea is, or milk for that matter), scones ‘with jam and cream’ where they give you jam in a little hotel sachet… I was in the wrong café, possibly the wrong town…

It is as good as it gets. Doesn’t look like much from outside, oh but don’t be fooled. Is really warm and welcoming out the back, staff are great. Breaky is to die for — eggy bread my fav, bean on toast looked to be delish. But crowning glory was pizza(rocket and prosciutto) we had this afternoon, I will be dreaming of this place for ages to come til we’re back for our next weekend away. Cant come soon enough.
