WOW! What a surprise this place is! First impressions, you come across a very simple, clean and good looking small restaurant space. Tables are white and inviting. Space in structured in lines and squares — and it works. On inspecting the menus, it is quiet obvious the chef/owner is a fish/seafood fan. From memory there are about five entrees and six or seven mains. Which actually is the perfect size menu for a restaurant this size and to be concentrating on seafood. We started with the scallops and baby octopus. I thought they were both done incredibly well and very different, which is great to see. My other half loved the octopus. Since this is a seafood restaurant, I decided to try the simplest dish, crumbed fish and chips. The other half went for the second fish dish to truly judge a chef by, Snapper. Both dishes were great! Well cooked! Nicely presented and just the right amount of food on our plates. My other half devoured the snapper, moaning on every bite. I loved the way the bream was cooked in real crumbs and it was light golden evenly coloured all over — and not one bit went soggy as the meal went on. The only thing I would suggest(as an ex-restaurantuer) is maybe try with a bit of flavours through the crumbing. Just slight flavours, hints maybe. And maybe offer a sauce or two to accompany the fish, but not on the fish. The wine list was lovely as well, although a little small — six reds and six whites. Even though this is a small restaurant, as it is a seafood restaurant, I would probably not be scared to add another six whites to the list. Sadly, we had to pass on the cheese board, which is what we were excited to get to, but we were stuffed. I have noticed, I can tell when I have enjoyed a meal, as I drink the wine with gusto, so I was also a but tipsy. We will be back — sooner rather than later. Well done.
