I only really went into the One Stop Fruit Shop because I was intrigued by the unusually creepy art work painted on the wall out front. In what pseudo reality does a scary pumpkin scarecrow man with a box of oranges scream, «Come in and buy some Fruit!» Don’t scarecrows keep things away from the food? I walked into the shop which is more of a supermarket than a fruit shop, yes there is one room dedicated to fruit and vegetables, but the shelves are relatively bare and it’s quite a dreary room. The supermarket section is brightly lit and sells most things you would need on a day to day basis, including water which they sell for only $ 1 a pop. A great deal on a day like today has been.(If you’re reading this on a hot day, then that sentence still stands, if a cold, then change the last sentence to, ‘On a hot day!’) They also sell fresh juice at more than reasonable a price and I regret I didn’t try any, but I had just eaten, so the water and the browse would do me nicely.
