Some people believe that it is better to do to make a few things well, than to mass produce a whole bunch of rubbish. Victore has taken this to heart, and as such is has provided very little. At first sight, this store seemed empty, but upon entering, despite the scarcity of the produce lining the walls, this little store on Darling St, Balmain, is more full than so many others whose shelves are stocked to the brim. This bakery and patisserie has small range of the most delectable cakes and tarts I’ve seen in a long time, as well as a small selection of bread rolls lining the walls. Buy one with some of homemade and very original jams and conserves available, and you’ll have a very special lunch for a group of people. Or take your own lunch home with you with some delicatessen-filled gourmet sandwiches. Wash it down with some French cordial refreshment, and you’re all set. Foodies, set your course for Victore!
