Squires loft has some of the best steak i have ever had. It is cooked to perfection and served by great staff. You have to pay extra for the sauce but the garlic sauce is 100% worth the extra money. The resteraunt has a good atmosphere and attentive staff. It was a great dining experience.

Arrived on a Thursday night to the dimly lit Squires Loft and was made very welcome from staff. Service was excellent and the melt in your mouth steak was amazing. One of the few places that have hot English mustard to go with your steak. Bit pricey but it was definitely quality. Ordered salad along with fried potato skins which was crunchy goodness. Entrée was the hot sausage which was insanely good and flavoursome. Can’t go wrong if coming here. Week night so there was people but not overly busy.

If you are after a great steak, this is the place to go. It also has a great range of South African dishes too. The atmosphere is a bit bare but the service is great and the food comes out in a timely matter. When your food comes out though, you don’t care anymore. It’s all about that big hunk of meat in front of you(and I don’t mean my date). The steaks are done to perfection and can compete easily with likes of Hippo Creek or Adelphi Steak House. Give this place a go for sure.

The sauce alone makes this a four star joint. It’s what dreams are made of. The garlic sauce is out of this freaking world. It’s so magnificent in fact that I may dub it the best garlic sauce I’ve ever had. As far as steak goes, the cuts are lovely. Their eye fillet was extra thick and very juicy, cooked perfectly rare. However, it was a bit cool in the middle. Just because I want my meat rare doesn’t mean it has to be cold. The steak could have been warmer and so could the sauce, but that’s a small gripe. I would, however, rethink the wine list. It’s lacking. Especially for a steak joint. Overall, the food is fantastic. I will definitely be back.

We went here for our work’s Christmas lunch and it was ok, but nothing special. The are a steak specialist and the meals are all very similar, a piece of meat and a portion of chips or jacket potato. There was nothing wrong with the food, it just wasn’t amazing, but the prices were reasonable so didn’t feel ripped off. But probably wouldn’t come back here again.

I think I over-ate on my visit to Squires Loft, because it truly was an effort to try get me out of my chair after eating everything! We went on a night when it didn’t seem to be very busy, literally four tables in the entire place being occupied. The room was very nice, intimate, lovely lighting, elegant décor and a good use of thier space. We ordered entrees that included sausages, cheesy potato, prawn skewrs and mushrooms. I could not believe how much food there was becuse the ‘entrée’ size of these meals were huge! I almost regretted ordering steak for mains. All my friends and myself got steak for main, they accomodate all tastes for what kind of cut they may want to eat. My steak was cooked a perfect medium rare! With a side of chips, there wasn’t much complaining from me! And there was a group of gentlemen sitting next to us and they thoroughly enjoyed their meal, although complained about the price. It is a little bit of a dig into your wallet I will agree, but the food was so so tasty and well cooked I was happy enough to pay it– especially when I left feeling so satisfied! Service was a highlight as the 2 waiters looking after us really made an effort ot be polite and accomodating, but with out being overbearingly attentive. Good location and good food, just a little fancy. But, yay! I’m a fan!

Finally, a classy steakhouse without tacky décor! No, I don’t always want to eat my steak in a tacky«Australiana» shack with a croc mounted to the ceiling. The steak was pure perfection. I can’t express this any more. If you’re a paleo carnivore like myself this will suit you to a tee. You do have to pay for the sauce which is a little odd. However, we found one serve was easily good for two people which makes the $ 4.75 cost a little more palatable. The wine list is surprisingly great also. Some real thought was put in and you wont just see the same things you see everywhere. The parking outside is paid, but the machine doesn’t take cards. Thankfully the staff will let you have some cash and put it on the bill so you can pay for it. Great making a crappy situation much better. Speaking of the staff they were lovely and attentive. Easily my first stop for a good slab of meat from now on

The food was fantastic. Started with the prawn skewer for entrée($ 17) and the sauce was amazing. For mains I had the pork ribs and chose the BBQ sauce. I will definitely need to eat these again, the best pork ribs I have had in a long long time. I slightly disagree with having to pay an additional $ 4 for a sauce… the meals are fairly high priced to begin with… but having said that… the sauces I tasted were amazing. And a tip, if you choose the baked potato over the hot chips with your meal… be prepared for a mighty large spud! I will be back.

Great steaks, never over cooked! 3rd or 4th time here and still doesn’t disappoint. Complimentary bread to start with is nice and also warm and the chips that come with are nice and crispy. Although you pay $ 4.75 for sauce, it’s quiet nice and you get a lot of it. Highly recommended, I’ll be back… good service too!

Squires Loft is for those who like me who worship meat. Vegetarians need not apply, you are not welcome here. Rump, tenderloin, Angus Beef, porterhouse, eye fillet, T bone and so much more. Squires is not particularly fancy. There are a few franchices of this around Australia. The food is first rate, generous and reasonably priced. The service is friendly and quick. I had the Tenderloin with baked potato, it was tender and juicy and cooked to perfection. Their desserts menu is a bit on the boring side, with the standards like sticky date pudding. In the mood for a steak, this is a great place to go.
