El fresco dinning on Crown Street and under $ 75 for dinner and drinks for two, yes it’s possible! We called in about 20 minutes before arriving and they had a great table right out front waiting for us. A per usual we order more food then we needed but it was all so good. The hummus and chicken skewers were to die for! The food came out in a good flow and the table was cleared promptly, the staff were friendly. Although they are fully licensed 4 stars for not having a cocktail menu and when ordering getting a «oh that’s complicated» laugh from staff. Biggest tip call in before showing up and order small first, food comes out quick so don’t worry.

Love their lunch $ 10 Lebanese rolls with hot chips. I’ve only had the kofta so far but it was wrapped with Lebanese salad and hummus. It was delicious and tasted fresh. It also came with a side of hot chips. Thinly sliced wedges spiced with lemon some sort of green herbs and paprika. Yums!!!

Generous portions, amazing hummus, and for the garlic lovers, the garlic dip is right on the money, even at the risk of a day-long garlic breath. And tasty falafels too. Our meat-eating friends and family have also seemed quite pleased with their food. We love Lebanese restaurants, as they generally offer a good selection of options for us vegans. We’ve tried two others, Al Aseel in Newtown and Hannibal Lebanese in Glebe, and Zaida is our favourite by far – the only downside being that it isn’t closer to where we live!

BEST Libanese in Sydney. We often go there with friends. The food is not only awesomely good, it’s also cheap. Try the chicken skewers, hummus and the baklavas, they are to die for.

Last night my friends and I had the chance to experience this restaurant. The food is amazing and a fantastic price. I can’t say a bad thing about this place. The service is fast and friendly. And the smells of shisha reminded me of being in downtown Beirut in the summer time. Definitely coming back.

Zaida is a gem! The food was amazing and the staff were so accommodating to my needs explaining specific dishes that were on the menu. My partner and I had the grilled haloumi, grilled eggplant and cauliflower and a mixed grill platter to share, the meats were so tender and there special chips were to die for! Pricing was cheaper than other lebanese restaurant I have visited before and great portion! We can’t wait to return next week with a few friends to show them this new restaurant we will now make it our regular.

The music is loud but the food is great. This recently opened restaurant/café/bar boasts outdoor seating on the sidewalk of Crown Street. This seems to attract smokers, and I think there’s a hookah going on sometimes too. The interior restaurant may suffer from this, however. As a rather self-righteous ex-smoker, this would drive me mad on any potential repeat visits, but I think there’s interior courtyard seating too out the back, so maybe that would be an escape. Then again, maybe it would just be more smoking section… The service is pleasant and friendly, the waitress was happy to offer us explanations of their traditional Lebanese dishes and made some introductory suggestions, which I never mind at a new restaurant or new cuisine. I have had food like this before under other labels but the Lebanese spin seems to be unique added spices and ingredients, like pomegranate seeds in the side salad, and a distinctive pita-like bread with thinner texture but equally delicious and perfect for dipping. The kebabs were tender and the side dips were garlicky and yummy. All in all a cute new place which I recommend trying, especially since there’s not many restaurants with similar Middle-eastern cuisine in the immediate vicinity.
