The coffee is good, ticking all sorts of worthy boxes, and the staff are a friendly hipster crew. They also offer cold pressed juices, paleo treats and not so paleo cookies.

Have come here everyday for the last 5 days to test consistency and ordered the same thing each time — a small skim flat white. The good news with their small size cup is that it’s perfect for a good flat white in terms of the right espresso to milk ratio without having to fill the cup to the brim with hot milk like some cafes do(who have larger sized cups). The coffee beans used is of a very good single origin quality. Here is my verdict for the week. Mon: perfect brew Tue: burnt Wed: very milky Thu: perfect brew(asked who the barista was to make sure I look for the same guy next time) Fri: Watery(same barista as Thu) The downside for me is the consistency, hence 3⁄5 stars.

I came early to work this morning, came across a review at Unilocal and decide to try the coffee here. So glad I did. Great coffee, one of the best in the area. If I’m being fussy here, I wish they have more breakfast selection. Definitely will come back again!

Quick. Good. Coffee. No pretension, friendly staff, fast service I had a piccolo latte — spot on brew, creamy without being overly rich. Salted choc chip cookie was a great accompaniment. My only regret is that I absent mindedly walked away without tipping. Lots of alternate options here — almond milk, soy, gluten free cookies etc… Great for a coffee before jumping on the train at Martin Place, or heading in to the office.

Note the word kiosk– keeping it simple, this place does good coffee and a selection of other things. Great location right on Martin place, you can’t miss it. Look for the kiosk with the big umbrella and A frames. Really lovely, easy to drink coffee. Also does single origin. I’m pretty sure this used to be a different coffee place which wasn’t anything special in my opinion– so comparatively this is great. There is normally a big crowd of people waiting if u come past here in the morning– but the wait is never too long so it’s worth waiting.

So I walked past this Kiosk by accident. I was walking in Martin Place, and I saw a sign saying ‘prize winning’ coffee. So I thought that I have to try it. So Abana is one of these new ‘only’ coffee kiosks that have opened up in Martin Place. They sell some biscuits and muffins, but this is another place that is just about the coffee. They serve Barrel One coffee beans — so they have a lot to live up to. And the coffee was good. And this means a lot, because there is a lot of places here. And Abana is one of the best. If you just want coffee, then stop off here. It is a darker bean so it is good if that’s what you are looking for. If you want a smoother bean then you should visit Brooklyns which is one block down. But I would definately give Abana a try if you are a coffee lover.
