Caffe Tiamo was pretty much what i expected! The staff was sooo friendly. I had the Veggie Brekkie and it was very good. I was surprised with the salad on the side becaus eusuallyusually you dont see that too much on the side(or whole bottom of the plate) back in the states but it was really good mix actually. I also had the Cappichino and added vanilla. Yum. And they added the little bear art to it. Seriously made my day! my friend got the bacon and egg roll and said she really enjoyed it but it was almost like any other egg sandwich, nothing too special but nice if youre not looking for a big, filling brekkie. If i come agaim i would want to try either the pancakes or nutella french toast!

Warm and unassuming interior. My husband ordered the corn fritters, which he said were quite good, and I had the Smoked Norwegian sandwich. The sandwich was just what I was craving and I wasn’t disappointed. If we weren’t travelling through, we would return often.

Nice place for breakfast, staff are very attentive and friendly. Prices are standard for Sydney(which are all a bit expensive anyway!). The big breakfast is a lot of food, but the pancake wasn’t worth the difference — it was a bit heavy on the flour and not very nice. Eggs Benedictine was good, coffee was nice too.

This café seems to be a quaint café with admittedly eccentric decorations. It is a small area with the back of the building dedicated to seating. First impressions wouldn’t have forseen the prices of the food, I ordered the«Big Breakky for $ 18.50. Despite being well sized for the price(that is a LOT of food), it comes with a free coffee which is well presented and has the taste of your average coffee. The food as a whole is not bad, decent taste, generally crunchy and lots of salt, although not as many greens. The servers are pretty nice, helpful and what you would expect from a restaurant worker. Overall, good experience. Might come back some time if I’m really hungry and need a real«big breakky».

Well if there is one thing that catches my attention when it comes to places to eat and that is cheap food that I’m willing to eat, and a quirky interior(and entrance). This place certainly ticks both of those boxes, though I have to say that it was the quirky nature of the place that originally caught my attention, which is why I made the effort to come here the next morning for a spot of breakfast. I ended up having the pancakes, which is usually a little different for me, but it certainly wasn’t bad. They also made a pretty decent cup of tea(though it was a little early for coffee). I certainly quite liked the atmosphere of the place, especially the little balcony that ran along the side of the restaurant(and the semi-private room out the back). Oh, the staff were pretty cool as well.

I can’t help but like this place. You don’t really go here to eat, you go to get an awesome Asian drink. My pick is the dirty green tea latte, taro, green tea latte or the black sesame latte. I have however tried the kimchi burger, waffles and the wedges. All surprisingly decent. I wouldn’t get anything else unless your into weird Asian pasta/pizza fusion. Open late and they don’t seem to care if you stay a while…

Food is quite good considering I wasn’t expecting a full food menu ie Breakfast lunch dinner from a Café. The tiamorita was good as well as the pizza and pasta… Definitely would come back to try the amazing looking desserts

This place is cute, but that’s where it ends. Coffee is average, food is over priced, and the staff is not attentive. I came to this place hoping for something good — but all I got was gimmicky. So if you are looking for gimmicky with no substance this is your place. But I honestly was unimpressed, and will never come back again.

Nice place to sit down, sip some coffee, and chat with friends. If you’re a person who wants to just find a place to sit down, eat, and chat with friends, I recommend this place. Great place for groups. But if you’re particularly looking for a place with spectacular and unique food/drinks, I wouldn’t recommend this place. Clean and neat. An average restaurant with standard drinks and lots of food selection. I give this place a 3.25. Food: n/a Drinks: 3 I got a dirty green tea latte. In general, it was an average coffee– a little bit too sweet for my taste. Coffee art was mediocre. Service: 3 Standard service. When my drink arrived, there were some spills. Waitress was also confused and unsure if I was the one who ordered the drink. Atmosphere: 4 Cute and neat atmosphere. Loved the interior design and decorations. Good use of space too! Misc: 3 Standard price and location

Their lattes are cute but that’s about all Caffe TIamo has going for them. You can order certain designs on the lattes(i.e. bear, bunny, cat, or anything cutesy like that). But I’m not even sure I tasted any coffee in there. It tasted like milk loaded with sugar. I ordered the green tea latte($ 3.50), which tasted like I was drinking heaps of matcha powder mixed with water. For breakfast, I had some kind of crostini with whipped avocado and some smoked salmon(3 pieces for $ 10). It was not even worth ten bucks. Halfway through, I started feeling slightly nauseous. I’m not sure if it was from the food or the sugary latte. Either way, it was not a good experience. I deffo would not come back. But if you like overly-sweet drinks and subpar food, you should probably check this place out.

When you’re in the mood to try something new and the onus is on you to pick a place for post-university coffee, what do you do? Well, you of course see what Unilocalers have to say about the cafes in the agreed upon location, don’t you? That’s what I did, and upon reading several positive reviews, I decided we’d head to Caffe Tiamo. I made my way through the café into its backyard and noticed as I had done so how multidimensional the space was — families were enjoying dinner in private conference rooms, couples were hanging on the upper and lower levels within the café, and massive groups converged in the backyard as mine had done so. We were greeted upon arrival after sitting down, though had to wait for an enormous ten minutes to have menus handed to us. It wasn’t the best start on their part but the assortment of shakes and coffees we ordered were quite tasty so that kinda made up for it.

Was a cute little place with nice staff. When I walked in I asked if they were still doing their breakfast menu and specifically pointed to a menu item I wanted, the staff member assured me they were still serving that item so we sat down. We ordered the big brekky and coffee. After a couple of minutes she came back and told me that she’s made a mistake and gave me the menu back to choose something else. Apparently the breakfast menu had closed at 12. It was 12:15. They just lost $ 40-$ 50 in sales because they didn’t want to cook bacon they told me were still cooking and probably have in stock because it was 15mins past the arbitrary time the choose to stop cooking it. The place was not packed — if it was, I could have totally understood

One of the cutest coffee shops in CBD with outdoor seats at the back. The staffs are more friendly than My Sweet Memory. You can even request them to make special shapes(heart, bear, bird,…) for your drinks. I love green tea latte here. Free WiFi too.

more of a 3.5 stars in my opinion I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the décor of the café. It is interesting, fun and cute. Reminds me of cafes in Seoul. A good place for a date or a catchup session with your buddies… It would have been a 4 star … 1) IF the dessert menu is more extensive(there were only two choices: waffles or churros. I forgot that they sell cakes too, but why arent they on the menu!!!) 2) IF the waffles tasted better.(less«dough-y»??) 3) IF they sell fresh juices.(they should consider it as it has high profit margin!) 4) Top up my water glass instead of giving me a new glass each time?(There were 7 glasses on the table when we were ready to leave) However, the servers were all very polite and nice. My latte was pretty good too. I would most likely go back(to try other hot dishes perhaps?) as there arent that many«cute» cafes in Sydney !

I stopped by here on my way to a meeting, as I walked up the street I translated the name in my head to Italian and added a sleezy intonation — Caffe Loooove… then I doubled back because the décor(wall of stones) looked interesting and hey, I had time for a quick cuppa before the meeting. The service was lovely, the atmosphere was vibrant and I then received the cutest cup of coffee I’ve ever had — I’ll add a pic! Plus it was tasty :) Now I’ve read the other reviews, I really want to go back and try the food and check out the roof top! Thanks Caffe Tiamo — I love you too!

I’ve been here a few times as I live close by and the coffee isn’t bad. I haven’t eaten here yet but the coffee is definitely decent enough to get me back here. The décor is obviously quite quirky and it’s a fun place to hang out, chat with friends, read the paper or use the free wifi. I have seen so many different faces at the counter and serving so either staff turnover is extremely high or they have a huge roster? Either way, I have had nothing but great service each time I have been here and they are in no rush to push you out.

Another one of those cute Korean cafes in the city which opens late. This place provides outdoor seating, wifi, power and also hot food. The coffee here is actually above average which is very surprising(usually these sorts of cafes it isn’t the case), and the food is really good too. Another thing to note there is different sections which includes upstairs area, ground level, a little secluded area besides the door(great for studying/working as its very much out of the way), and an outdoor section at the back. Be aware that you may get your food a little slower if you choose outdoors(and it might be off-putting when there are people smoking). And last but not least, theres actually table service here too(usually cafes you order and pay at the front — but you can probably do that anyway if you like)

A small little review for this small little café. Things I love: –Great, friendly staff that does a good job of waiting your table. –Good usage of the small, narrow space — feels like a fobby park, if there is such thing –Ample tables and some power outlets on the bottom floor –Free wi-fi and open until 12am! Things that NEED to change: –Super loud club music that they blast — not a good read of the patrons who are mostly here to catch up with friends, read books, study, or work on their laptop. WHYTHISLOUDMUSIC? –Like most Asian cafes here, people are just socializing and chatting way too much. …my search for a quiet café(that is open past 6pm) where people study and work in Sydney continues… sigh.

I was walking down Pitt Street one day and noticed this place was preparing to open, and merely a week later it’s unofficially opened as of Sunday. The official opening is next Tuesday. Caffe Tiamo is a Korean style café, which means it’s going to be cute and quirky. The food being served will not be Korean, but will be what you’d expect from a cool café. I came with 2 friends around 9pm and the manager said food was still being served. We asked for recommendations and we were told the burgers are REALLY good… so good that they sold out. So we asked about the sandwiches and panini… and they were sold out too. No big deal, this is their trial opening period so no points off for that, plus they had a cool phonograph(read: vinyl) player in the front. The décor is pretty cool and there’s plenty of seating, with an outdoor courtyard opening up in the future. This place would be great for a date… no joke. We ordered the seafood pasta, the pane pasta, and I ordered the nachos. The nachos are some of the best I’ve had in Sydney, which is a definite plus. I didn’t get a chance to try the seafood pasta, but the pane pasta was pretty tasty, albeit rich. I also ordered a flat white, and the coffee is above average… cool points. I’ll be keeping an eye on this place, as it’s a cool little café that’s open late in the CBD, so you won’t have to venture out to Surry Hills if you’re in the city and feel lazy. Noticed I said cool a lot… Cool. Cool cool cool.
