Just had lunch with my wife here. We both had Phở, chicken for my wife, and sliced beef and brisket for myself, with some fried spring rolls as entrée. The spring rolls were delicious, and clearly came from fresh oil. Both Phở dishes were brilliant. As good as anything I have had in Vietnam. And served in monstrous bowls. At least a litre of soup, heaps of noodles, and a good serve of meat. A good assortment of condiments available too. Coming in at under $ 30 I thought it was a good value lunch. And I will definitely return.

Phở is no ritzy food item and should be eaten in a no frills eatery just like Gia Vien. No fancy fusion food or décor. Gia Vien is a relatively small restaurant, narrow with tables of twos and fours. The menu is really extensive, lots to choose from. The phở was delicious, very nice broth. I don’t usually take much interest in the broth but by the end of the meal I was lifting the bowl up to my face. The noodles were cooked nicely and the meat was very soft and tender. Verdict — will be back, if I can get past their phở, I’m hoping to try other dishes

Pretty good place. Consistent food in taste, prep time and a very chill environment. Only reason why it’s not a 5 star review is because the staff aren’t really friendly. Overall great experience.(Been here for over a year now.)
