Wow seems this place has mixed reviews and many not that happy. Strange as we actually loved it and happy to see a bit different menu. We had the prosciutto plate which was so yummy. It’s typical European type breakfast which was just up my alley. The prosciutto, provolone, avo, tomato and bread was yum yum. Staff are very friendly and seem to be a place that attracts a lot of regulars. My long black at first was a bit like a smack in the face but second sip actually tasted nice. But yes if you looking for typical Aussie style breakfast this will not be your cup of tea

The reviews don’t lie… really, really mediocre… the coffee, food, everything. You can’t have a café in these areas and do anything boring or mediocre. There is just too much competition, people expect more. Coffee was not bad, but unremarkable. But my mixed plate breakfast… uummm… really? I got two slices of cheese, ¼ of an avocado, a hardboiled egg and a chopped up tomato on a plate with toast. It was so boring and plain, the most boring and plainest thing ever. My breakfasts at home are far more exciting when I’m half asleep and not even trying to make anything«cool». Sorry, I hate leaving drab reviews, but… meh.

Great coffee just does not make up for the shortfalls that are the bad service of staff that all seemed to of rolled straight out of a club & happy to brag about it!

Looks like these guys have lost a little bit of their passion for coffee and customer service I’ll give it another go but definitely disappointing if late

This place is so cool! Delicious coffee to have here or take home by the bag — Colombian organic, Sumatran organic, supremo, organic and full city. I just had fresh granola, natural yogurt and stewed fruit. It was not sugary at all and the granola was full of big fat nuts. So good. The staff are really friendly. Small tables for couples along the front and bigger tables behind. Check out the roastery at the back!

My favorite coffee house in Sydney, even if you can’t make it to Allpress you can find their coffee across the city, it’s worth seeking out!

Great coffee, basic menu small tables, noisy and busy. Small plates on small tables do not make for comfortable dining. Staff standing around and no table service. Still great coffee and tasty breakfast. NB. The Photos of the Menus are obsolete, there is no table service so you have to stand up in what tries to resemble a queue(take away orders mill about) and read from the board.

Allpress has once again unimpressed us with service. Soup — a relatively simple order — took a long time to be dished up, and when the kitchen rang the bell to indicate the order was up, the chicks at the coffee bar stood there for another five minutes talking to each other. It wasn’t until one of the kitchen staff started yelling at the baristas that they turned around, still in mid-conversation, to hand our lunch order over. Every time they take a step forward, they take another two back. Praise Jeebus the Alexandria/Zetland/Rosebery/Green Square local area is growing in competition.

I was super excited to check out the Allpress mecca. I’ve been to their café in London and have developed a hawk eye for their coffee ever since. So ducking in for a quick skim cap half an hour before they closed seemed like the perfect Friday treat. The interior is immediately striking. All the dark colours set off the beautiful marble-clad(I presume) ‘wall’ that divides the tables from the ordering area. Then up the back, a huge glass wall lets you spy the roastery. So THIS is where the magic happens! Our waiter was nice and friendly and even came around for ‘last coffee’ orders. We had a couple of cappuccinos and were tempted by a brownie — which turned out to be beautifully moist and devilishly rich. My skim cap, however, was alas a bit of a let down. Perhaps it was Friday fatigue setting in, but while the coffee was perfectly brewed, the milk was quite thin and watery. Sure I order a skim milk cappuccino, but still! That said, you could definitely twist my arm and bring me back to try again. And I’ll still be keeping an eye out for Allpress around the city.

The home of Allpress Coffee. Expectations were high when I entered the espresso bar but I guess in terms of the overall experience I was a little disappointed. The coffee of course was excellent, but the pastries I had were a bit dry and the place is really noisy. I had to strain my ears to make out what my friend was talking about. I even went there twice to see if the atmosphere changed. But I’m being picky because for me a café stop is about the entire experience not just the coffee. Even if its Allpress. If you’re looking for good coffee, then I’ll give it 5 stars though. Thus I would still recommend if you’re in the area. It is Allpress afterall!
