After spending the day checking out the waterfalls, my husband and I were in great need of a tasty beer and some food. This place was recommended by our taxi driver. The patio outside really filled up with both locals and tourists. The beer selection was okay and the appetizers were also okay. What I would highly recommend to avoid are their chips and guacamole — beware: it’s a few Doritos chips and bland guac. Overall, not a bad spot for drinks and appetizers.

Almost everything about this place was terrible.
What was good: the ambience and look of the place from the street. After the first 5 minutes this was overridden.
What was terrible:
–the vegetarian quesadillas with a side salad, was the only available vegetarian main course on the menu. It consisted of two small lukewarm quesadillas with a spoonful of alfalfa sprouts — I did mention to the waiter that this won’t fill me up so he simply suggested that I order more food.
–the service. we had no idea whether to sit ourselves when we entered the restaurants and multiple servers would just look at us as if we were in the way… very strange. Our order was confused multiple times. No English and barely any Spanish spoken in this place — weird for such an international tourist town bordering Paraguay.
–VEGETARIANS: DO NOT GO HERE. Or in fact anyone who wants something besides just meat. I went here because it came up when I Unilocal searched but it turns out the buffet is ENTIRELY MEAT and as I mentioned above, there is one veggie main course (bad bad food) on their whole menu.
Finally, it’s seriously overpriced. I’m so confused why the other reviews are good and there is only one dollar sign…

Nice Brazilian restaurant for vegetarian !! Its an all you can eat buffet where everything is seperated. So you can enjoy a tasty feijoada without meat and even milanesa bananas ! Yummy !

Lovely and lively bar /​restaurant in the downtown area. Very nice outside seating. We saw quite a few locals hanging out here. Good to check out he local folks. They have a big screen tv inside playing soccer games. A big plus is they serve vegetarian food. The service is great and very friendly– they speak a bit of English which is very helpful.

I really loved the ambiance. Great food, great drinks and great prices. Went for a late lunch, they have great sandwiches and a «artesanal» wine beer thats great. Im sad i couldnt go back during the night and check it out, but im sure is as great as i can imagine.
I would definitely go back.

Go «barzinho», chill, sit down, drink and eat, no loud music –then this is for you. Drink some «Chope» (cold beer long glass — with brands like Antarctica, Brahma or Skol) then people watch. Have some ‘Escondidinho’ which is dry beef with cheese or have some ‘Porcao de Picanha Acebolada´ kind of like beef strips, or jerkie with onions.
Then hike the falls again.
