If you are graving a COSTELA(Rib) or a phenomenal pice of PICANHA you won’t be disappointed. Giuseppe grill is on only amazing in meat but as well as in sea food. Aurelio makes the best CAIPIRINHA in RIO and the service by Sergio and Mauricio are the best. If you are crazy about wine this restaurante have the best wine list in the city. It is a must go if you are visiting Rio de Janeiro.

Compartilhando com os Unilocal a péssima experiência de sábado. Como amante da gastronomia, bons ambientes e bons drinks, escolhi os sábados como dia oficial da pratica de ir a um bom restaurante. Como o nome diz, sempre em busca da restauração dos«estragos» da semana. Sábado(23) escolhemos o Giusepe grill do Leblon(apesar de já ter passado um perrengue com meu genro, decidimos que todos têm direito a uma segunda chance e retornamos ao local. Gente, o restaurante é lindo, decoração mega legal, atendimento eficiente, barman mega fofo. Tudo indo mil e eu pronta para o meu perdão ao erro anterior. Pedimos os pratos, meu genro pediu em steak bone, eu e minha filha, filé no sal grosso. Comida na mesa, eu elogiando o ponto do meu filé, qdo meu genro pede para que eu experimente a carne dele. Acreditem se quiser: a carne estava estragada, gosto de carne podre, inacreditavelmente isso que eu disse. Prato devolvido, a cozinha reconhece que o prato«não estava no padrão da casa» ao que pensei: ufa, ainda bem que servir carne estragada não é o padrão. Meu genro pede um filé igual ao nosso, chega à mesa no ponto errado, retorna para a cozinha e lá vem o segundo erro: a mesma carne retirada da mesa é trazida novamente, sabe-se lá o que o cozinheiro fez! Gerente à nossa mesa, quer nos isentar da conta, imagina, jamais aceitaria um almoço grátis para compensar o meu sábado estragado e meu genro passando mal. Infelizmente, não é só a aparência ou o preço que nos livra dessas ocorrências. Penso que a saúde pública deva atuar mais fortemente nos restaurantes. E-mail de teor parecido foi enviado por mim ao gerente geral da rede, se ele responder repasso a vocês!!!

El lugar es super lindo pero de todos los restaurantes de carnes que fui en este viaje fue el mejor en cuanto lugar y ambiente pero peor comida. Mejor esplanada grill o ct boucherie. La caipirinha el limon estaba pasado. Pedi una panelinha que tengo entendido son famosas ahi y era algo totalmente sin chiste algo pasada de sal. La carne Ok los acompañamientos bastante malos unas espinacas que parecian pure de bebe desabrido, un arroz bastante malo increible siendo Brasil. El postre fue lo unico bueno romeo y julieta.

Nice steakhouse is Leblon, Rio De Janeiro! Visitied this place few days out of Christmas and had their Picanha Supra Sumo with Guiseppe potatoes as a side. It was great! Portion size is: 300g. They serve you crackers and some butter, dips and small sides before you order your appetizers and main course which you can enjoy while drinking wine from a fairly good selection. The price is very reasonable to the value of the meal and service you get. Total for main course only plus wine was under Reais 150 which is pretty good(c.USD42).

11.26.15 — Thanksgiving in the US — Staying in Copacabana and the hotel calls in a table of 1 for myself… they were really busy, but had a spot, because concierge gets credit… anyhow, walk in and have a table upstairs, in front of bar… Service — 5 Food — 5+ Alcohol — 5 Overall — 5 They bring bread and this carrot/cucumber sticks arrangement, with multiple spreads, to start off… I ordered the chicken hearts, as only Brazilian restaurants in US have these… These hearts were amazing… I finished the whole plate… for dinner, I have the Picanha Supra Sumo, which I asked and was suggested… the best steak I have ever had, not kidding… It was seared MR perfect. I didn’t order any sides, but the maitre’d brought me a Brazilian side dish, which contained something like corn flour and julienned zucchini. I had a few glasses of wine and they opened the bottle for the first glass… a few of the places I ate in Rio did that, so I really appreciate that type of wine service… Brazilian red is fine, but it doesn’t quite rise up to California Cabs… For dessert, a young lady suggested that I try this guava? fruit blend/pudding with coconut ice cream… not knowing what to expect, it was very good. This Brazilian meal was completely new to me and it was excellent… Leblon, as I have found, is the high-end area in the beach area, and this restaurant is classic and representative of Leblon… because the USD is so strong in Brazil, I had a 5 star meal for under 100USD. Probability would say that I come back to Rio, and go to Giuseppe, again.

A comida aqui nunca decepciona. O restaurante é interessante tanto para quem gosta de carnes como para quem gosta de frutos do mar. Eu sempre vou de carne. O Ojo de bife é sempre certo, mas hoje arrisquei o New York Strike wagyu. Simplesmente sensacional! Os acompanhamentos tambem são bons, sendo o batatinha sufle o ideal para carnes. O serviço é sempre muito bom, padrão Sao Paulo. Raro no Rio. A única coisa ruim, como quase tudo no Rio, é o preço. Mas se quiser comer uma carne sem erro, é o lugar certo.

We’re suckers for ambience. If the vibe is cool, the lighting is right, and the music lends to the overall experience, then we’re all for it. From the moment we walked through the door, it was easy to see that this place ticked all those boxes. Service was prompt as there seemed to be at least eight servers all working the same area with a rhythm that resembled a choreographed routine. Only one gentleman, the main server, spoke English. Everyone else nodded kindly as we tried our tongue at Portuguese. The food was just all right. I’d be lying if I said it impressed me at all. In fact, we were more pleased with the presentation of the meal, including the logo-clad dinner plates. It appeared as though all the thought went into the vibe, not so much the meal. Honestly, we’ve had better Brazilian fare in America, England, and Abu Dhabi. The meat was not as flavorful as we’d hoped and the sides were completely lackluster. Table salt needed to be added to the potatoes, as well as butter. We’ve been to steakhouses all around the globe and have never needed to season on the kitchen’s behalf. All of that said, we are giving this place a two-star rating because it took over 20 minutes to pay the bill. We realize that no place on the planet moves as quickly as America, but their slow pace wasn’t even the largest problem here. It was their wifi connection on their credit card machines and their disregard to listen to us. They inaccurately ran our American Express card several times. You see, the security code isn’t on the back of the card, it’s on the front. We tried to explain this, but he kept saying ok, shaking his head no, and then walking away. I realize this might be due to the language barrier, but it was frustrating nonetheless. Then we offered them a Visa card as this has the normal code on the back and we feared American Express would be shutting our card down after four failed attempts. This didn’t work either. Imagine our annoyance. Finally! The main server who speaks English came by to assist. He explained that it wasn’t our cards, it was the machine. It wasn’t connecting. So after 20 minutes of looking too broke to pay for a $ 100USD meal with plastic, we threw cash down and left. Tip included, of course. We are Americans, after all. At this point, the ambience we’d once enjoyed seemed pointless. In short: go for the vibe, expect a mediocre meal, and pay cash.

O Giuseppe pra mim sempre foi uma ótima opção para saborear carnes com cortes fora do trivial de boa qualidade. Porém ontem o prato que eu já comi algumas vezes lá(ojo de bife), nao estava como de costume. A carne um pouco endurecida. O preço do prato subiu um pouco, foi p 96,00 R$. Nada barato com certeza para um pedaço de carne com um acompanhamento de batatas ao azeite. O vinho tb vc tem que pesquisar pq tem rótulos baratos que eles inflacionam em mais de 150%, desnecessário já que o prato nao é barato. Enfim continuo voltando ao restaurante, mas agora com um pé atrás. No resto adoro a atmosfera do restaurante.

Adoro Giuseppe Grill do Leblon uma comida deliciosa, um ambiente bem gostoso para esta com amigos e um atendimento de alta qualidade. Na espera, você pode aguardar no bar e degustar os variados drinks do cardápio. Sempre que vou ao Giuseppe prefiro carne, mas, nesta vez eu foi de polvo… Maravilhoso!!! Não deixe de provar as batatas Giuseppe. Ainda não provei o ceviche de salmão, na próxima com certeza. O restaurante tem uma excelente carta de vinhos, o preço alto, mas vale apena. Não dou as cinco estrelas pelo o preço!!!

Been to this restaurant several times as I travel to Brazil pretty often for work and every time I eat here I leave feeling completely satisfied. The service was great and the food DIVINE. I ordered the Picanha with mashed potatoes and they were both completely ‘perfeito’. I ate with a group of 8 and everyone was delighted with their selections. The drinks were delicious, the food was superb and the dessert sublime. Would go back again and again.

Facilmente, um dos melhores restaurantes do Rio de Janeiro. O Giuseppe Grill do Leblon une uma comida deliciosa a um ambiente aconchegante e chic e a um atendimento de alta qualidade. Com uma ocasional fila de espera, você pode aguardar no bar e degustar um dos muitos drinks que estão presentes no cardápio. Tive uma das mais agradáveis surpresas de provar o melhor polvo que já comi na vida por lá… E saber, em seguida, que o New York Times teve a mesma opinião. Para acompanhar, não deixe de pedir as batatas giuseppe para acompanhar, são divinas. O ceviche de salmão também vale a pena, apesar de pequeno. O restaurante tem uma extensa carta de vinhos e um preço alto, mas que compensa pela qualidade.

This is one of the best restaurants I have eaten in Rio. This is definitely a fancy high end steakhouse with a very relaxed atmosphere that avoids stuffiness. From entrance to exit, the service is top class and doesn’t miss a beat. They also have an English menu and most of their staff can help if you can’t speak Portugese. We started with the lobster mini pot as well as the calamari. Both were delicious and seasoned perfectly. The seafood was cooked with perfect technique, no rubbery texture to be found and full of flavor. We then had the porterhouse for 2 split for 3 people… such a massive steak wasn’t a problem to share. On the side we got the zuccini farofa and mixed vegetables which were both perfect complements to the meat. The steak was prepared medium rare JUSTRIGHT and was soft and buttery. The knife cut through it effortlessly and the steak was overall one of the best I’ve ever eaten. The wine list was just perfect as well and had a huge selection especially South American wines; we went with the Malbec 13 which was very well priced and a great complement to the meat. The dessert is what put this meal at 5 stars. The romeo and juliet which is guava paste with minas ice cream is sublime. Never have I tasted those flavors and in that combination; blew me away; especially with the warm paste texture and the ice cream mixing in your mouth… unreal. Also had the almond petite gateat with an extra scoop of ice cream… another masterpiece. The gâteau has a very strong almond kick to it which mixes in with the ice cream to create its own unique flavor that rises and falls within your mouth. Some of the best dessert I’ve ever had. This restaurant is better than any of the other steakhouses I’ve had in town especially Porcao or the churrascarias. Definitely a must visit while in RJ.

This is a trendy, upscale steakhouse for those tired of the all you can eat churrascarias. The sides offered are creative and well made. The cocktail list is inventive, and the extensive wine list is probably one of the best in the city. For dessert, I had the cheese ice cream with warm guava paste. Highly recommend.

Voltei hoje, domingo, para o almoço. Bom como sempre, serviço um pouco mais lento, mas eficiente. O bombom de picanha saiu do cardápio, que pena. Bons acompanhamentos(pedimos a polenta, deliciosa). Gosto muito do ambiente e da cortesia dos profissionais. Ficamos 40 minutos esperando amigos e o couvert foi, por isso mesmo, muito apreciado(cesta de paes quentinhos, pastinhas e uma salada de grão de bico). Mas atenção, o preço eh cobrado por pessoa. Para o almoço, pedimos uma panelinha de bacalhau: uma entrada interessante, mas prefiro a carne. Dividimos um steak ao sal grosso acompanhado da delisiosa polenta. O ponto da carne estava, como sempre, perfeito. E de sobremesa(cortesia da casa pelo aniversario da minha filha) foi um «Romeu e Julieta» gourmet composto de sorvete de queijo que contrastava muito bem com a goiabada quentinha. Amei! A estrela a menos desta vez eh por protesto pelo fato de terem tirado o bombom de picanha do cardápio. Espero que volte logo!
