Stambul Comida Árabe

This place surprised me – my standards for Arabic food are pretty high being that I live near/​work in Dearborn, Michigan which is home to the largest Arab population in the US.
Chicken kafta was juicy but a little bland, pastel de camarao (though not exactly Arabic) was delicious, the mujadarrah (rice/​lentils) could’ve been better, and the Moroccan kafta was also pretty good. My mates enjoyed their food as well. We even went back for more food later on in our trip (mainly for the pastel de camarao).
Cons: place could be a little cleaner.
Recommend for a quick lunch or an early dinner.

Quando minha amiga me convidou para almoçar aqui, nem titubeei: conhecer um novo árabe em Copa é comigo mesmo! Sentamos numa mesa agradável na varanda e, ao analisar o cardápio, notei que os preços não são muito amigáveis — o Amir, que fica no mesmo bairro, me parece ligeiramente mais barato.
Pedimos um combinado que vinha com arroz com lentilhas e cebola e kaftas, além de uma porção de falafel. Tudo estava bem saboroso, mas eu fiquei com a sensação de que pelo mesmo valor, é possível comer mais pratos no Amir, onde a meu ver a comida tem qualidade superior.
Como dividimos tudo em três pessoas, não dá pra dizer que a conta ficou cara (R$ 40 cada), mas se você estiver com bastante fome, pode ter que desembolsar mais. De todo modo, saí feliz e satisfeita com a refeição.

Se fosse avaliar só a comida, acho que poderia dar quarto tranquilamente o problema é que pedir a comida, as bebidas e etc é um parto. Apesar do lugar ter três garçons atendendo nenhum deles dá a menor atenção para as mesas e nem tem a pró-​atividade de checar se está tudo bem, de trazer o cardápio e etc.
Quando finalmente conseguimos pedir optamos por um combinado de kafta com arroz, lentilhas e cebola frita, além de uma porção de falafel.
Achei o falafel gostoso e a porção generosa mas poderia ser um pouco mais soltinho. Adorei a cebola frita, estava divina.
Vi algumas mesas vizinhas pedindo sobremesa, mas pela dificuldade de pedir a refeição fomos para outro lugar arrumar um docinho. A conta deu 120 reais com serviço e serve três pessoas.
Voltaria, mas acho que o serviço pode ser mais legal.

We ordered the arabe mista that comes with kafta (ground beef) and steak tips for 2 people. Everything was full of flavor. It comes with rice mixed with lentils and tabbouleh (R$ 60ish). We ordered the roasted kibe for R$ 8 and it was DELICIOUS!
There are tables on the street if you’re just in for apps and drinks and tables inside for dinner.
Highly recommend it!

After hours at the hippie fair, we were starving. This place hit the spot! I was nervous about too many spices, but that wasn’t the case at all. So wonderfully balanced and fresh. We ordered a huge sausage (I’m not sure of the name), and so glad we did. Served on a platter with a heaping pile of rice and lentils and salad with mint, it is the perfect balance. The tables have the best garlic and pepper sauces, I had to try them all! We also got a stuffed zucchini, ohmygosh! The meat and rice inside soaks up the delicate flavor of spices, and the zucchini was so soft you could cut it with a spoon. Next time we go, we can’t wait to try the hummus. Folks around us were diving into huge plates of cold hummus with freshly made flatbread. We will definitely be back. Don’t miss it — get a seat outside, order some choppe, and eat your heart out! Very close to the beach, to shopping, and hotels. Safe area.

A comida é razoável e os preços também. Mas o calor dentro do restaurante é insuportável, mesmo em dias mais frios. Bom para comer uma esfirra e um quibe e sair rápido do calor.

What a nice surprise to find in Copacabana! This business had a unique layout, with two stories. on the lower level a small bar and display case, and some seating and up some antique looking stairs, the majority of the seating. The atmosphere was intimate and cozy. The place was quiet, just right for a nice evening chat. The service was pleasant, the bathrooms clean. Last but not least, the food was also fresh and and plentiful. The appetizer tray had some great hummous, bread, and meat and cheese samosas. Highly recommend to stop in and try if you’re in Copacabana!

Para quem gosta de unir uma boa praia e uma excelente comida árabe pode freqüentar a praia de Copacabana entre as rua barão de Ipanema e Bolivar que nesse pedado são servidas as maravilhosas esfira e kibe do Stambul!!!
