Good sangria, good location and lovely crowd. Must try is Sangria and spicy potatoes. Service is good too.

I came here on my first night in Rio with my wife, brother, and another friend. We had difficulty finding a table anywhere along this street and ultimately decided on Venga.
We were seated on the sidewalk, which was pretty cool as we could experience the hustle and bustle of Leblon’s nightlife. If you have issues with small tables, tight quarters, lots of noise or people, this is probably not for you.
The food was excellent. The style is Spanish tapas, so we ordered a bunch of dishes to share. I can’t recall the speciifc names (in either Portuguese or English), but everything was good including: mushrooms with cheese, pork ribs with fruit sauce, sautéed shrimp, potatoes+octapus, Spanish sausage, and others.
We also kept the caipirinha’s flowing throughout, which probably enhanced everything about our experience!

A cosy nice restaurant, good to go with friends. The tapas are delicious and good to share. The waiters are nice. The only problem and the reason I didn’t give more stars here is because they put a coupon here (100% discount for a glass of sangria) and when I asked for that the waiter had to sent a message for someone to know if he can do that and never came with the answer. They were suppose to know… And if they decide to offer that they have to do it. I was disappointed with that… We were having bottles of wine and I wish I could try the sangria maybe to order next time.

We came early in a Friday night and found a seat but didn’t get service for a while. The staff looked like they were enjoying their night laughing and talking. One of them eventually came out to another table and we were finally acknowledged.
We tried an assortment of tapas, like the fried calamari which were at least crispy but lacked flavor. The tarter sauce was like a mild creamy paste but didn’t improve or add an additional flavor either. The mushroom with cheese came on a long thin crisp and had plenty of flavor but still lacked a fullness. Tuna was seated nicely with small wedges of tomato and sprinkled in dried shredded basil. It was mild and needed a sauce. Finally the chorizo cuts were good and came with a tiny tin of bread. When doing something like tapas, the quality of bread should matter. There’s a great bakery down the street, so hardly room for any excuses.
They ran out of Voll Damm, one of only four beers they carry. The suco isn’t fresh blended, it’s a R$ 9 glass of Del Valle.
Honestly for the price, it doesn’t feel like the quality is good enough. Plus on Dias Ferreia, there’s so many more options, just next door or across the street. Maybe this a more of a drinking spot then somewhere you want to eat.

One of those «must go» places in Rio! Tapas, beers and cavas great ambience, wonderful to chill in! The octopus, the tortilla and the pan con tomate is not to miss!

O Venga do Leblon é bem pequeno (diferente da unidade de Ipanema), intimista e escondido entre os demais restaurantes da Dias Ferreira. O ambiente acolhedor e romântico é ideal para um programa em casal.
O cardápio do «primeiro bar de tapas tipicamente espanhol do Rio» é uma grata surpresa! Premiado pelo Rio show de Gastronomia 2013 como «melhor para beliscar», o sabor hispano está nos pinchos, tapas, croquete de paella, calamares e outras delícias. Para beber a melhor opção é sempre a jarra de sangria, deliciosa e em harmonia com os pratos.
Agora o mais interessante: o Venga lançou uma campanha: «No me Venga con Wi-​Fi». Com um vídeo explicativo no youtube, o bar avisa que ali é um lugar para conexões HUMANAS, e não virtuais. Por isso, renomeou seus roteadores com partes de frases que no celular formam: «Ah, larga o. celular. Curta. o momento. Uma dica do. Venga!» Simplesmente genial!
Então, quer curtir de verdade um clima a dois ou conversar com os amigos? Vá ao Venga! Mas «no me Venga con Wi-​Fi» :)
