Walter Mancini

This rating would be 4.5 if I could rate it this way. So here we go:
1. The area the restaurant is in is very beautiful. Brick road with lots of trees so if you are looking for some ting different in the Sao Paulo area, this is a place to check out.
2. The place is absolutely beautiful. Everything there is very well pit together and very classy.
3. Very good live music so if you are looking for a place to eat and enjoy music, this is the place.
4. The bread appetizer (if you choose to purchase) is EXCELLENT. Around 5 different spreads for the bread and approximately 6 different kinds of breads. We loved the appetizer and I highly recommend.
5. The waiter Mauro was great. «Nao falo Portugese» although my wife speaks the language but Mauro was very kind and even gave me a «gingo» menu that was in english.
6. The chicken soup on the menu is NOT the typical size portion nor price (not cheap BUT HUGE) and it was the best soup I’ve ever had. I would go back again for the soup and I highly recommend.
7. We had the pasta arriabiata and 2 dishes of the pasta with mushrooms and arugula which were both dishes that were EXCELLENT.
8. Why 4.5 instead of 5 stars? They were wonderful in allowing me to have meatballs with the arriabiata dish but I have to admit theu meatballs were not good at all. Maybe it was a bad night for them and I can accept that excuse because everything else about the dinner and the experience was 5 star.

Restaurante bonito, com atendentes muito atenciosos, e que aos sábados serve uma boa feijoada. é um local mais «clássico», onde a maioria das pessoas é de um nível social maior. Em frente à casa famosa (Família Mancini). é bom ir sem pressa.

As delicadas lâmpadas penduradas pelo mosaico de paralelepípedos da Rua Avanhandava flutuam sobre nós. É como mergulhar em um universo paralelo, cercado pela algazarra com o finzinho da Rua Augusta, a travessia da Avenida Nove de Julho e a vista da Praça Roosevelt. Se esta rua fosse minha para tilintar melodicamente ao atravessar a Avanhandava, restaurada e revitalizada por obra do império Mancini. Nesta rua encontram-​se a tradicional cantina Famiglia Mancini, a Pizzaria Avanhandava 34 e o sofisticado ristorante Walter Mancini, três casas da família. Quem é quase de casa, pelo menos pela familiaridade da rua do centro paulistano, sabe que o líder Famiglia Mancini está sempre lotado, e as mesas são elegantemente disputadas à tapa. Por esta razão, Walter Mancini venceu a rodada ao ganhar mais cinco convidados para um banquete em sua casa. Quanto ao Walter Mancini Ristorante especialmente, fato é que o restaurante atende às expectativas de ser um ateliê de arte culinária. Cristais, luz de velas, guardanapos de pano, garçons refinados, piano de cauda, colunas de mármore, jazz suave, tudo isso cria o ambiente perfeito para um jantar romântico ou para uma festança discreta em família. É importante destacar, porém, que jantar no Walter Mancini é um desafio para os bolsos. Há inclusive nas mesas um flyer da Visa em formato de 3, alardeando para que você parcele seu jantar em três vezes fixas no cartão. Para cinco pessoas (quatro pratos principais fartos e o courvert com vários tipos de pães e patês), umas 7 long necks Boehmia (a R$ 7,00 cada) e sem nem piscar de olhos sobre a cartela de vinhos (o mais simples custa R$ 300), um jantar pode sair por R$ 500.
