Juul’s Vinhandel

It was my first time visiting Juul’s and clearly wouldn’t be the last time.
This place has ah-​mah-​zing inventories of booze, anything that you could think of. Serious liquor cabinets and with tons of wine selection. If you ever need something that you can’t get anywhere else, try Juul’s.
I was helped by the nice shopkeeper in selecting my Vermouth and it turned out to be a great one, especially because it wasn’t breaking my bank account as I thought only good Vermouth would. I was made aware that they also have amazing whisky selection, something that I keep in mind since it’s my poison of choice.
Next time, Juul’s. Next time.

Wow, if you’re missing something in your liquor cabinet, this is the first place you should look. About half the store is wines and the other half is spirits and bitters and things. Their selection surprised me; they have everything from sake to cachaça and even moonshine. Most of what they offer is whiskey and it ranges from affordable to the REALLY good and old stuff that you only break out if you need to impress an important person. There are lots of tastings offered at a good price, too bad I can’t make it to the mezcal tasting coming up!
The guys working here were really nice and even ran down to the basement for me several times to check if a product was in stock. They also didn’t look down at us for asking for a cheaper option and suggested some good bottles. Very good, unpretentious service and a great selection. You can even get a little tiny hotel-​fridge-​sized bottle for some spirits, which is excellent if you’ve never tried it before and would like to test it before splurging on a whole bottle. The prices can obviously be a little high but for the most part it is reasonable compared to buying duty free. You might be able to get a popular brand cheaper at the supermarket when it’s on sale but for the more interesting stuff, definitely come by Juul’s.

This is the place I always try to squeeze in when I go to Copenhagen. It is a great place to get more knowledge about wine and spirits. Do take the opportunity to taste and discuss with the crew here. They have abundant knowledge of all kind of spirits. If you are looking for something exotic in the way of spirits, this is a good place to go.

Great store — not the most unique concept, but hey, every city needs a couple of these specialized wine and liquor stores! They have a big selection and staff are super friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. I was looking for a whiskey to give to a friend for his birthday and since I know nothing about whiskey, I enlisted the help of one of the staff, who was very patient and explained in detail the differences between the varieties. In the end, I walked out with a very nice and somewhat unusual bottle of whiskey, which was well received, and may have grabbed myself a bottle of small-​batch gin on the way out, oops! I’ll definitely come back here and recommend Juuls for any spirit-​related business!
