If the Danes put marzipan in every dessert, it’s never going to work out between us. As usual, my aim is to find a nice place to lounge and read. At 3pm, Lagkagehuset was nearly empty, so that’s a plus. There are wide tables with bar chairs, the room has a pleasant atmosphere and the music, if there was any, was not memorable, again that’s usually good when focusing on microec. Those are the three stars. I went there and ordered a hot chocolate and a kartoffelkage(no potatoes harmed in the making of). While I appreciate the consideration of the staff for my health, I wish they would have put some sugar in either, because the warm chocolate tasted like 80% dark crushed in tap water, and the kartoffelkage… well, marzipan, enough said. All in all, Lagkagehuset will be considered for the B-league of cabin fever solutions, especially if they start tasting some of their products.
