Nope. This is awful. I make better Mexican food at home. I got the two taco deal which is two tacos(I chose one beef and one chicken) and a side of refried beans. I asked if they were red beans or black beans and the waiter said black beans. They beans came out and were red :(and to top it off had two old pieces of chopped tomato on top as garnishes. Slopped on a plate with corn chips around. The tacos came out in a bed of largely cut ice berg salad lying in their sides with all the insides laying over the plates. This was in propose but was hard to eat. Cold cheap cheap cheap cheese, the filling on the beef was some kind of meat sauce thing. Tasted like a very boring bolognaise meat sauce. The chicken taco was just shredded chicken. That’s all. No flavor. Nothing. The presentation was awful. The taste was nonexistent. Seriously, this couldn’t have tasted more boring if it tried.

So much food. So little flavor. I’ve been a HUGE fan of this place back in the day. Maybe my tastebuds changed, maybe some of the flavor left with the american owner when he sold his shop off a couple of years ago. The portions are HUGE which is a good thing… If we were in Texas. When I went there I saw no one finishing up their plate. Instead of focusing on quantity, they should aim for quality. Because the food lacks a lot of flavor, and that’s a shame. Also, it’s not so charming to hear the beep from the microwave oven in the kitchen, and then have your food served within 1 minute AND pay overprice for it. It kinda tears my heart a little bit to leave a bad review, but this place just ain’t the same anymore.

This place is terrible! I’m not sure if it’s just because I’m from canada and we have super cheap, amazing tacos/burritos. But my burrito was flavourless and so expensive. Will not be going here again.

Super pumped to have a burrito for the first time in months, so I stopped in to the taco shop in Fredericksberg and got a smothered beef burrito. I deserved it. It was good, not exactly the same as the Mexican food back in the states, more like taco night at home. It was a ground beef burrito side good tortilla chips, mmm salsa and jalapeños. I’ll definitely be back to try the«main stuff» or main plates and see if and what the refried beans are like.

Nicely presented dishes, fast and kind service… but not so exciting taste. You cannot realise it when eating, but if you really think about it there is no other noticeable taste than the chilly’s. I don’t want to write something more. Is ok to try it once I guess since is not that expensive. I have a sensitive stomach and there were not«side-effects» later, so is safe!

People must be kidding. We all know that food in Denmark is bad, and we also know that people have a distorted perception of what good food really is. Giving 4 or 5 stars reviews to a place that sells pre-made and microwaved food just confirms that. I mean it’s crazy. Don’t they see that? Have they ever tasted Mexican food or even good food in their lives? And yes I know that«Denmark has the restaurant number one in the world». Well that counts nothing because food in this country is terrible, and obviously if you pay 200 € for a meal you at least expect that it is not only good, it has to be outstanding! Fine dining is good food, we all know that. But you don’t judge if a a country has good food by looking at fine dining. You have to go to supermarkets and see what people eat in their everyday lives! And here: it’s bad. Really bad. Terrible. This place is the perfect expression of that. Microwaved food(rated 4 and 5 stars by people: madness) which is average in it’s best day. I went to this place several times. I waited to post a review because I was trying to give this place more than one chance. And what happened? They serves me cold microwaved food. COLD. The cheese on top didn’t even melt, it was so bad. And I got pics of all of that. The ingredients were so cheap and bland that I was disgusted. The cheapest beans you can find at the supermarket, that’s what they served me. Get good ingredients for Christ sake! Moreover, tables were dirtied by the food of previous customers, no one cared. The only scenarios this place might be good is if you are really hangover. That’s all. Otherwise it is just very cheap, average, microwaved food. And microwaved food sure does not deserve 5 stars folks.

I’m a native southern Californian. I recently moved home from living in Copenhagen for over a year. So how come, despite being back on my native soil and surrounded by amazing Mexican food options, I find my thoughts turning to the Taco Shop? This place is as good as you’re going to find in Copenhagen, and in fact the best I’ve encountered on the entire continent(I’m oddly compelled to sample every country’s attempts at burritos wherever I go). So cheesy! So delightfully fried! I cannot stress the quality of this place enough. And when you juxtapose it against the other sad attempts at Mexican food other places in the city, well, it just shines all the brighter. The restaurant itself is also great, everyone was always very friendly and service was often surprisingly prompt. They’ve also got swell veggie options for the non-meat eaters among you(my friend Fiona dug it for this reason).

Listen guys, Taco Shop is about as close as you’re gonna get to texmex in Copenhagen. The original owner is a native New Yorker(holla!), and their guac is real. They also use real meat, and real refried beans, which might actually mean it’s better than most texmex places you’d find in the US. Major thumbs up. Try their chimichanga. You won’t regret it.

Denmark is not a place you would normally associate with mexican food, despite it’s reputation for good food, local produce and organic farming. The taco shop is a relatively small shop which seems to have a thriving local trade, and after some whisperings from some fellow travellers, myself and 10 others descended on to the shop, with it’s title as The Home of the Chimichanga. After the initial shock of seeing so many people, the service was fast courteous, and the prices weren’t too bad. I ordered a beef burrito, some guacamole, and a beer, and was pleased with what I received. The burrito was tasty, a good size, but not big as to be overwhelming, but did I mention just how tasty it was. I was awesome with a capital AWE. As an experience with a bit of sun, a decent beer and good company, the burrito topped off an excellent afternoon that I would recommend to anyone.
