I don’t know why I thought it would be a good idea to get Mexican food in Denmark. The only thing nice about this place is it’s atmosphere because it has to make up for the dismal food that it serves. I walked in thinking that I was going to get a good home cooked, fresh Mexican lunch and all I got was a microwaved nasty smothered quesdilla for 75 kroner. if I wanted a microwaved quesidilla I would have made it myself. Everything in the quesdilla tasted like it was processed from the chicken to the lettuce on the side. I literally sat in there and heard no stove or grill or any cooking at all. I just heard beeps from the microwave… Overall, I was very dissapointed and I would never come here again.

Yup, I’m a sucker for texmex and it doesn’t get any better than this in Copenhagen. A smothered beef and bean burrito from this little shop always hits the spot for me and then some. Their selection of dishes is limited to basically tacos, burritos and chimichanga, but then again what else do you really need? I gave this place a surplus star just because there is nothing else in the category that competes.

Simple, very good food and accessible prices. I don’t eat spicy but I found decent food for my taste too. Obviously people who can do spicy have many items to choose from. The location is very good too. 4 minutes walk from Nørrebro.

Found a little gem. This place tucked away from the tourist hot spots, offers simple yet fabulous Mexican food. I ordered a vegetarian burrito as it was sensational, great taste and so cheap! Highly recommend this place for people wanting a sizeable, cheap and delicious meal!

This is an unprepossessing-looking place run by nice people, with good food and a more than respectable menu(one doesn’t see, e.g. tostadas on the menus of many Mexican restaurants in the U.S. anymore). It’s just south of Gothersgarde, and we were all pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. Reasonably priced, a very good value.

it’s pretty standard tex mex that won’t blow anyone’s mind, but it hits the spot when you are craving it. i got a chicken and bean ‘smothered’ burrito, which was good. it came with tortilla chips which were also ‘smothered’(not really) in cheese and a really pitiful amount of salsa. seriously, it’s like a damn thimble. which is a shame since it was a perfectly acceptable salsa fresca. will probably be back again to try some nachos and i’ll definitely order extra salsa.

Praise the lord and may the angel choirs sing! Behold, an actual decent Mexican restaurant in Denmark! In all seriousness, ever since coming to Denmark to study abroad, one thing which I have missed oh so dearly from back in the States is a Tex-Mex fix from Chipotle, Qdoba, or Baja Fresh. Alas, my search for a good restaurant for the past 3 months has been fruitless, but no longer, because Taco Diner has come to save the day like some strong armed superhero flying down from the sky. Taco Diner isn’t a huge place and the menu isn’t expansive, but you can’t be picky now. The menu consists of a decent spread of food — tacos, burritos, chimichangas, and more which can be ordered with chicken, beef, veggies, whathaveyou. I had a chicken and bean burrito which is served with chips while my friend got a chimichanga with chicken which was served with rice and a small salad. Overall, my burrito definitely hit the spot and quelled any cravings I had, though I would never mistake it for the«real stuff» back at home. The chicken was shredded and in a slightly hot sauce and was wrapped in a flour tortilla with pinto beans, cheese, lettuce, tomato, and a little rice. I smothered every bite with some of the spicy-ish salsa they had which was a good decision on my part. The taste wasn’t mind blowing or anything, but compared to some of the other Tex-Mex-esque stuff I’ve tried here, it’s leaps and bounds ahead of the(very limited) competition. Portions were decent too. My friend’s chimichanga was also good. The chicken was the same as mine and the shell was fried nice and crisp. It got her thumbs up. Taco diner is close to the Nørreport train station away from the shopping streets and towards the direction of Nørrebro in Copenhagen. It might be a little hard to find if you’re not sure of the area but hey, that’s what GoogleMaps is for. Inside, there is limited seating with some bar seating and a few tables. It felt open, clean, and comfy though. I came mid-afternoon so it wasn’t exactly busy, but service was good and the food came out fast, and yes, they speak perfect English here. Finally comes price, my burrito and chips rang up to 50DKK which, if you’ve stayed in Denmark for any length of time, you will know is very decent for food of any kind. My friend’s chimichanga totaled to 65DKK — also quite good. If you’re looking to cure that burrito craving in Copenhagen, Taco Diner is your best bet.

This restaurant is one of my favorites in Copenhagen. As a Californian living in Copenhagen for several years, I was so happy to finally find real Southern California-style Mexican food. Their burritos and tacos are excellent. Most of the Danish Mexican restaurants make the meat sweet, not spicy. In fact, now having moved to San Francisco from Copenhagen, I often lament I can get better Mexican food in Copenhagen than I can in SF.
