A trip to Arbejdermuseet is a delight. It is one of the forgotten gems in Copenhagen. A place telling us about the most important periode in Danish history. The periode where we turned from a peasant society ruled by a dictatorially king to a democratic socialist wellfare state. I have been here for a guided tour. We heard a bit of history of the building, the living conditions for a normal working class family during the Industrialization, Christmas in the years after WW2, and much more. Our guide were a fountain of knowledge, and he were able tell the history in a very empathetic way. We didn’t have time to see all the exhibitions, so I definitely have to go back to this museum on my own. I’m also planning to make a excursion with my colleagues from work. A guided tour is only 1500DKR. Members of traditionally socialist trade unions hare free admission.
