Burgers were phenomenal except I didn’t get the an option to get medium rare. The big portions made up for the cost.

Place has great burgers and serve their own beer(not sure if it is branded or brewed by themselves). Great place to hang with friends and catch up on old times. I hear it gets crowded around dinner/lunch time, so it would be a good idea to call in advance or book a table.

Really good burgers well priced and nice ambiance. I just can’t stand their restaurant in Frederiksberg where they are place just on top a without a separation people enter the gym just beneath the restaurant and train underneath so it smells like sweat. But other than that location the rest are great

Great burgers at a reasonable price! Three of us walked in at 8PM on a Saturday and were able to sit right away, which was great because we were quite hungry! I ordered the København burger with fries and it really hit the spot. The burgers are fully customizable and the fries are really quite good, which is saying something because I don’t usually like large-cut fries. It came to about £13 per person which isn’t bad at all for the area. I’d definitely recommend Halifax if you’re craving a good burger in CPH.

¿Te gustan las hamburguesas? Halifax no defrauda. 1. Elige tu hamburguesa: Københavener, Liverpool o Lone Star no defraudan. 4.

Great burger place. The kobehavn was the perfect burger and the classic sesame bun had so much flavor. Everyone eats their burgers with a knife and fork here. Which means it totally falls apart. I made it halfway and realized it just tastes so much BETTER when eaten like a sandwich because it technically IS a sandwich. Fries/“wedges” are still ok to eat with a fork. Especially with chipotle dipping sauce. The Liverpool with egg, bacon, & onions was delish with the sauce on the side.

Very nice atmosphere and super for friendly staff. Despite a long queue the hostess took my mobile number and call me for out table. We had Zurich with wedge potatoes and Copenhagen burger with mashed potatoes. The meat was cooked as we wanted, juicy and delicious. We really enjoyed the place and we will be back.

Oh my. Dem burgers. So good. It’s big; not greasy; and the beef here is tastier than what we can get in America. Definitely one of the best burgers I’ve had in the world and funny I found it in Copenhagen. We got these 3 burgers: — Liverpool(comes with fried egg) — Zurich(comes with a potato top bun rather than a bread bun) — Original Kovenhavn. We each had a bite of one another’s burgers and they were all delicious. I would recommend it for anyone visiting and want some solid food and beer.

Came to Copenhagen on a trip with a few friends from the States/London. The food was super appetizing but 2⁄3 of us ended up with food poisoining after eating the meat, medium rare. My other friend got the chickpea burger and had no issues.

Excellent burger! I went with the Lonestar(=bacon & cheddar) version with dark bun and although I went with the regular beef size I left the place puffed in the way you expect after a decent burger meal. For side dish I went with nachos, but would recommend the potato wedges next time :-)

Whilst in Copenhagen for Eurovision we were looking to fill up on carbs before the show. This place certainly delivered and more. I had the chicken Copenhagen burger with extra chicken and a chipotle sauce as well as a pint of ale which came to 120DKK which is about £13. Perfect. And was worth every penny; in fact I had to leave some of the chips. The waiter was lovely, and assisted us with every question we fired at him, in English, he responded back in great English as the standard in Denmark. He was engaging and interested in what we had to say too, we spoke about Eurovision and how excited we were about it. Great for a lunch time stop, especially between 12 and 4pm as they offer their Copenhagen burger for just 69DKK on it’s own or 99DKK with a side and sauce(about £7.50 and £10.80 respectively) Go and get your meat sweats!

The burger is pretty quality. Big and tasty, with a lot of variations and custom options. The fries where what I liked the most though: big thick steak fries, which I’m usually not a fan of, but these were really crispy and flavorful. Be sure to dip them in the garlic aioli. Friendly staff too. Though it is pretty expensive… and while a lot of thing are in Denmark, good burgers can be found for less.

Summary: Great spot for out-of-towners that miss N. American fare or for locals. Great atmosphere, friendly staff. Has potential to be one of those«foodie» spots. Atmosphere: Fun pub-like atmosphere but spotless. I stepped into the the lower dining area of this split level floor format. My jet lag had me there early, but I could tell it was going to get crowded. Seemed like a wide variety of teens in groups and couples. Wifi is available. Just ask for the password and they will sort you out. Service: The staff seems happy and fun, putting everyone in a good mood. They all take the time to explain the 5 step process to you and make sure you understand. While the crowd is primarily Danish locals, the staff all speaks English very well. I like to give a shout out when someone gave me solid service. Over-tired from jet-lag, I thought it was fantastic when I told my waitress I couldn’t finish my burger and she paused with a quizzical look, then said… «Ok… let it settle maybe you jump up and down(which she demonstrated) and let it move down, then you keep trying.» So Adorable! I took it back with me to the room. Food delivery was fairly quick. I got the password sorted, online and through 3 lives of my candy crush(10 – 15 min tops?) Food: First, for the Americans, if you first bite into your burger with confusion, that is because this beef is in fact different from it’s moo-ing counterpart in the US. The cow who has so deliciously donated its life was grass fed without the grain-finish we in America add to top off the flavor. It’s also not as fatty as it’s American ground counterpart. Hence, the density might seem a bit different(think Italian meatball). The Bread — Kudos on the sesame seed bun. Similar to a pretzel bread, it’s the exactly the right thickness and holds exactly the right amount of burger moisture. Finally, a bun that holds up without overpowering! Nakskov –It’s perfect for someone that wants a taste of home, but with a Danish twist. I had the Nakskov. Note, the bacon is that soft bacon, popular in Canada(one of the owners is Canadian). The remolade is like a sweet mayonaise. The Nachos with Salsa — Mixed feelings. On the one hand, the baking of dorito-like nachos reminds me of the Taco Bell Gordita in all the right ways. On the other hand, the use of real cheese versus velveta and resulting hardness of it turned me off. I ate it all though. The salsa, which is really a spicy catsup was delicious, and the chips were a great delivery mechanism. For vegetarians and the anti-beef brigade, there are chicken and two veggie substitute options. The owners appeared to take effort to make sure vegetarian options are tasted, so worth a try. FORMYJETLAGGEDFRIENDS: I think they deliver. I saw lots of efficient takeout while there.

Fellow Unilocaler, walking around the city centre with an empty stomach, I found this place on my first night in Denmark, fresh out the central bus station and looking for a place to grab a bite. The burger avatar looked enticing enough and it was only a 15 minute walk from the station, so I was like, why not? What a pleasant surprise this place turned out to be. First off, you could tell the place was good because it was packed with locals — and had a queue of six waiting in the cold to get a table. Then, the 5 step system(I’m a sucker for faux-novelties of this type). It goes something like this– you pick your burger recipe, your bun, your meat, your sides and your condiment. I went for the local favourite, the Nakskov, a beef burger with mustard, bacon, cheese, remoulade and all sorts of niceties, plus a side of lurvely cheese’d ‘n’ jalapeño’d nachos, and eagerly waited for the end product. The end product– the delicious, crunchy, juicy Nakskov burger, a beast of a burger packed to the brim with all sorts of lovely foodstuffs and held together by one of the softest buns I have ever had. I devoured this voraciously, being as hungry as I was, but noticed I savoured every single bite — it was not just going through the burger, but instead, recognising the unique nature of each cut of this lovely thing and savouring it for what it was. A 5 star meal in a 5 star city. If you love your burgers and find yourself in Copenhagen, make a stop here no matter what. Yours faithfully, Nik

Really impressive burgers. I had the Biarritz and loved the flavor of the goat cheese on the burger. Even better than I expected. If I lived in Copenhagen, I could see this becoming a go-to dinner spot with friends.

Probably the most american burger I’ve had so far in Denmark. I had the københavn burger with dark buns and tortilla chips with remoulade sauce. I wish they had more cheese on the tortilla chips, but the chips were spicy. The burger was really good, meat was juicy, there was a good amount of sauce. For 120 kr, portions are pretty big. They have a wide selection, even if you’re vegetarian you can find something to eat here. Another plus, they only charge 10 kr for tap water, most places usually charge 40 kr. Definitely worth checking out!

We wanted to eat there. But when we arrived with the stroller, the service woman looked at us and said Sorry but we don’t have a pkace for this and looked at the stroller so we went off. Even if we didn’t eat there I judge this place as, in my opinion, a review of a restaurant is not only about the food but also about service, etc. Even if the woman thought that there would not be enough space, the manner in which she treated us was unacceptable!

This place is AWESOME. The burgers are great, the mix and match selections are awesome, the beers are great, and the staff is friendly and attentive. You definitely get your bang for your buck, which is saying something considering how expensive food generally is in Copenhagen. Definitely try the rosti option… you won’t be disappointed! There are vegetarian options, too, which is alway appreciated.

One of the better burgers in town, i love the atmosphere there, and the people there are really nice, the usually take a knee when they take your order or sits down next to you, which i think is pretty special and fun. Im not a fan on the light bun though, I would like the option for switching it with a ciabatta or something similar. And you have to check out their website, it is really cool!

Halifax lets you build your own burger and sides and the burger I had there was one of the best burgers I have ever had(and I’ve had a few more than is good for me). If there is a better burger in Copenhagen(which I doubt), could someone please let me know where? They also brew their own beer here, which is also nice. Can get busy. No surprise that its popular though.
