Quirky, fun place to have a delicious brunch! The décor is a mix of retro, hipster and a flashback to the 60’s which gives a great ambiance and environment to a yummy meal. You MUST try their raspberry hot chocolate with marshmallows! If you try it and don’t like it, I give you full permission to send me hate mail. It is typically pretty busy for brunch/lunch, but I have never had to wait more than 15 mins.

Awesome place for brunch or lunch, centrally located. Love the relaxed hipsterish vibe!

Brunch here was probably the highlight of our short(1-day) jaunt through Copenhagen. Loved the décor full of mismatched tables, chairs and plates and old record players mounted directly onto the brick wall. Vegan brunch was delicious, and we also tried a slice of the(also good) vegan chocolate cake. Plenty of outdoor seating, too.

Excellent home made ginger ale and ketchup. A really cozy place.

Kalaset is a pleasant place. Everything is pleasant about it. The decadent hot chocolate deluxe and the grandma-seating. Only not pleasant thing was that one time I was in there and waited for my friend for, like, two minutes. Before he arrived, I thought, «nah, I’ll just get that coffee now instead of waiting like a baboon» and the dude behind the counter was SUPERRUDE about it, greeting me with a sour puss and saying«thought you were gonna stand there all day» and shit. But whatevs, normally they’re a friendly bunch, which might be why there is never any room. That and the decadent hot chocolate deluxe.

Busy place with tasty pancakes and brunch. Have only been here during lunch and brunch hours and it is really crowded but the food is super! Be prepared to wait a little while for a table, there is a small bar you can sit in as well. Cosy décor and friendly staff.

Only got to visit Copenhagen for a weekend and I am SOHAPPY I ran into this place. Easily one of the best blueberry pancakes I’ve ever had. Slab on some of their homemade nutella and homemade apple jam and you’ll never want to leave.

This was the cutest place I ever had beers at on a Friday night! I mean; grandmother’s little home that also opens up in the evenings(and nights)?! Perfect. Then I found out Kalaset really is more of a breakfast/brunch/lunch place and I’m really sad I missed out on that. They must have the best vegan brunch and I can’t wait to try it when I’m back in Copenhagen. Although I’d go back no matter what, as their collection of radios is pretty cool, the setting is cute, the staff is ok-nice and the drinks are ok-priced too.

Excellent place, especially for brunch. A few tips: — The blueberry pancakes. Get them. — Coffee refill 5 kr — Free home made vegan nutella!(I’m mostly excited about the«free» and the«nutella»)

A cosy place to have brunch in the weekend. The interior is retro with old tables and chairs. Looks nice but not all chairs are equally comfortable. The food is tasty but always leaves me a bit hungry due to the small portions.

Morman is so good! And the Pancakes are delicious! Also nice that they have homemade jams. However, really tiny and can have long wait

Came here for dinner tonight and had a great experience. Staff was welcoming and friendly, and the food was so good. I’d definitely recommend this gem to anyone visiting Copenhagen.

Fantastic brunch! It’s *tight* inside, but it’s cozy, friendly and perfect on the weekend. The Mormor Brunch — which seems like the signature item — has got a little bit of everything. The scrambled eggs with bacon are top notch, and the chili sausages? Nom-licious. It’s a touch pricey at 120kr but the pancakes are a more reasonable 65kr.

We went for brunch as part of a bachelor party. At 10.30AM we could find a table for 5, coming at 11AM would have been harder. The décor is cozy and the staff was friendly. There were all sorts of people and groups. Good experience. On the food side we got«Mormors brunch». It was a perfectly sized brunch with bacon, eggs, chili sausage(very good), brie cheese, a small yoghurt and some bread. They also have non regular beers. The group agreed it was a great experience.

Just went here again for brunch… and the brunch was just as amazing as the dinner I had a week ago! I got the pancakes with maple syrup and fruit… and they were hands down the best pancakes I have ever tasted. They have the formula down! The pancakes were crispy, buttery, and were sweet but not overly sweet(helpful because they don’t drown their pancakes in syrup here like we do in the States!). My friend had the walnut pancakes with raspberries and also loved them. The guy working the register recommended the banana/chocolate pancakes, so I’ll definitely be coming back to try those before I leave Denmark. The brunch menu had a variety of options for vegetarians, and a really tasty looking vegan plate that had falafel, lentils, and other savory brunch items. It seems like Kalaset is pretty accommodating to all types of diets, so if you have a vegan in your party take them here!(I’m sure the meat is good here too!)

I’ve never been here for anything other than brunch, but in my opinion, this is easily the best brunch in Copenhagen. And that is saying a lot, as Copenhagen really delivers on the brunch front for being Europe. It is a really cute place with a cosy atmosphere and lots of character; mismatched tables and chairs in different colors, and lots of retro trinkets, books and hipster adornments everywhere. I always get the scrambled eggs on dark Danish bread, and the pancakes. I’m telling you, do NOT miss out on the pancakes! They are truly fabulous.

Kalaset is a café that is a safe option for a meal any time of the day. It is located very close to Nørreport and is always full of people. Good also for coffee in daytime or beers in the afternoon/evening. To start with I would like to give 5 points for the service. The staff is friendly and helpful and they have a smile while doing that. You order at the bar, they bring it to your table and you pay in the end. And on top of that, the service is fast. The interior is charming, with numerous radios and stereos hanging on the walls. Candles on each table, various different pieces of furniture and a bit old style feeling. It’s cosy and good for a chill evening for a dinner. I have heard their pancakes are the must try, but still hadn’t had the pleasure. I had the Saigon salad which included ginger marinated beef and noodles. It was delicious, well prepared and filled me up. It also included a fair amount of beef, so good value for money. Definitely recommended to ginger lovers!

Bummed on it completely randomly and turned to be a very good option. Small range of beers, but brands hard to find elsewhere. Their wine was very nice and their menu all made freshly from scratch! Deco was nice and cosy and service very good. They have menus both in Danish and English. I had the Brooklyn burger(with blue cheese) served with home-made ketchup on the side and a friend had the hummus. Mmmm-M!!! Spot on temperature and flavour balance. I genuinely don’t care about the rest of the menu any more(but the rest of you guys should try the rest)! Deco was nice and cosy and service very good. They have menus both in Danish and English.
