The smell of the freshly made waffle cones drew me in for this little store on the water. Tried a couple of their ice cream flavors and hazelnut was the most rich while the others seemed a little watered down. Got a waffle stick with chocolate since I’ve never seen it served like that and wasn’t too pleased with the quality or taste. First off the sticks were already made and prob just sitting on the counter for hours so all the worker did was take the cold stick and dip it in chocolate. The stick itself tasted stale and dry and bland. I was craving chocolate though so it satisfied my sweet tooth but I will not be coming back for more waffles!

I maybe sad that I’m leaving Copenhagen tomorrow for the simple reason that I won’t be able to enjoy ice cream from here anymore. To put it simple — it maybe the best I’ve ever had. The Belgium chocolate is to die for. Even better they make the waffle cones right in front of you. If you’re on the Nyhavn this is the place to go for dessert(or skip dinner and just go here… I won’t judge you, I promise).

Delicious. The ice cream is a bit ice-y but that was perfect for this super hot summer day. The waffle cones are made on the spot and as the ice cream melts into them they become kind of pliable and even more fabulous. I had the pistachio and the Belgian chocolate. The pistachio was the best I’ve ever eaten. My husband has the Carmel and brownie and the Carmel was the best he’s ever had. Enjoy!

If you’re looking for ice cream on Nyhavn, this is the place. Skip Vaffelbageren. We went to Vaffelbageren a few times before deciding to try Rajissimo and the ice cream was much better.

I ended up having a taste of the famous Rajissimo after one of my visitors got a recommendation to eat the best waffle in Copenhagen here. I put my expectations high. I mean, there’s this someone that stated this place has the best waffle in Copenhagen. I bought the waffle stick with white chocolate and sprinkles and my friend bought a bucket of churros. I don’t know, the waffle is too sweet in my opinion, plus it’s not really something special, either the texture or the taste. The churros is so-so. Now I dont really understand the hype.

One of the better waffle cones I’ve had! Skip the hard packed ice cream and go straight for soft serve /soft ice. Choose a topping to roll it in(crushed dark chocolate for me). The perfect afternoon treat on an uncannily warm day in Copenhagen.

Ice cream treats with handmade everything — what’s not to love! From the waffle cones which you can watch being made to the numerous ice cream flavors ranging from fruity to rich, treat yourself to something decadent. They have a neat money machine that will also accept your Euros in case you are visiting from somewhere in the European Union and have no Danish Krones on you. Sweet tooths rejoice!

Yes, it’s smack dab in tourist central Nyhavn but am I gonna deny my friend her ice cream on a warm summer day? I’m not that mean. Judging by the scent of the freshly made waffle cones and the display case, this is a popular spot along the canal. I picked a banana chocolate chip flavor as per the staff’s recommendation and my friend had the mojito and pistachio flavor. All their ice cream are home made and whether you get one or two scoops it’s the same price. Go all out and get it on a waffle cone and top it with fresh cream. Buonissima!
