Pretty good dim sum place. Ribs with black bean sauce was good. Didn’t expect to find good Chinese food outside of Asia and the US. Beef was kind of chewy; probably due to how cattle is raised here.

Some of the best Dimsum in Copenhagen. Reasonable prices and a cozy place. Some of their dishes are definitely just bought pre made but others are made from scratch

It’s probably about time that I update my previous review, although nothing much changes from there Royal Garden is my local haunt with Mina K. We often had long brunch, dinner(you name it) here with massive amount of food I wouldn’t even try to remember which I liked best, because like always, the eating experience was a bit blur with the kind of gluttony that we had, but rest assure, everything was good. Royal Garden simply never disappoints. Other Unilocalers pointed out how kitschy the décor is, but let the truth be told, nobody ever cares about the décor in Asian restaurants. You go there to eat and to have party in your mouth, and you go home again, you don’t go there to enjoy the view — sadly, it’s the life motto of many frugal Asian restaurants that would rather spend their money on fresh ingredients than some fancy décor. I don’t have problem with that. Do come here for the dim sum(only). I can’t really vouch for the other stuff, but the dim sum is excellent.

Alrighty y’all — here’s the deal. Do you love dim sum? Do you love food? Or maybe you’ve never tried dim sum but you’re curious and want to go ahead and take the plunge? Look no further than here because this place is the real deal. Although it may be a little on the expensive side, I eat here fairly often and always leave with an incredibly full and happy stomach. This is a FANTASTIC place.

Delicious, good quality(and a little pricey) dim sum. The most authentic dim sum and Chinese food I’ve found in Copenhagen. You can always find a table, and this place is great for groups. Try the Chinese beer – it’s especially good!!!

Very good Asian restaurant, so far my favourite in Kbh! The cantonese duck and the eggplant with shrimp(speciality chef) are superb. The soups and dumplings are also good. Service is OK — could be better. More expensive than regular chinese restaurants, but totally worth it. I recommend without blinking an eye!

I cant believe I haven’t reviewed this one after so many visits. Good Asian restaurant is hard to come by here in Copenhagen. I like the dim sum dishes, truly excellent. I always order a number of dim sum dishes and my drink will always be a pot of warm tea(a perfect combination). My favorites are Sin Juk Guen, Lo Bak Gow, Char Siu Bau, Har Siu Mai, Sou Char Pai Gwat, and Dau Sa Gin Duei. I always eat them with the dim sum chili dipping sauce they have on table. I heard from some natives Hong Kong that the dim sum was almost as good as some you might get from Hong Kong. The services is good for Copenhagen standard, which is a plus. The place is mostly crowded on Sunday, you will probably need to book in advance. The prices are definitely higher than other dim sum that i have been to, but still affordable nonetheless. Good place to go for dim sum.

They had the cheek to insist on charging 15DKK per person for Tap Water, served in a scummy plastic jug, without actually serving it to us. It would have been a 3.5star. Shame about their idiotic insistence on the water charge on the bill at the end. The food is actually pretty decent and portions are plentiful :) If you go, be sure to drink beer, as that’s as expensive as tap water! Haha

Went with a small group on a Sunday evening and it was the perfect choice! Really good food, good service, and a nice, relaxing environment. Also very reasonably priced. Would definitely go back again!

Very good food. We had mostly dim sum — pork buns, shrimp dumplings, etc as well as the bar b que pork. All was really good. Probably the best Chinese I’ve had in several years. Resturant is nice and bright and open. Only reason for 4 stars rather 5 is that it was pretty expensive. Great overall though and we will go back for sure.

Summary: Tasty Cantonese food with great service, which got them the third star. I hope the cook does what it takes to get a 5th star… so close! Atmosphere: Old school Chinese Restaurant that seems out of the 80s. It feels very Chinese. Service: Nice and efficient. I think they should try more dishes so they know the menu slightly better. Food: Menu 1 includes: Peking Soup(hot and sour soup for the folks in the US) — 5 stars. This is important because soup stock forms the base of many of the dishes in Chinese cuisine. This was made pretty well and had fresh ingredients. They didn’t go cheap. It tastes delicious. Peking Duck with Chinese Veggies. These peeps are Cantonese so you may be raising an eyebrow as I did. It’s essentially roast duck with veggies in a brown gravy. The duck was slightly dry(4 stars). This could be for many reasons, but this is what I would suggest. You can cut the slices thinner so the sauce can help you out. Stir fry the duck into the sauce, but this might affect your cristy bbg braise, or just figure it out. The Rice — they use a reasonably good sushi rice. Dessert: Friend Pinapple with strawberry and chocolate ice cream and chocolate topping. Pass! They serve dim sum 24 hours a day. I would love to come back on my next trip in March and check out the dim sum.

being from NY I had some expectations and read the reviews here. place is a tad small location is good and they have the lazy susans for parties of five which is cool. oolong tea very nice and piping hot. I had tried a vast array of dim sum, shrimp, pork, meat, taro, steamed bun all of them were pretty tasty. all in all very good place.

Just order anything on their menu, and order twice the amount of dim sum dishes you think you will eat. The portions aren’t small, mind you, they’re just so damned delicious you will want to stuff yourself.

My most favourite dim sum place in Copenhagen. Pretty nice décor, friendly waiters /waitresses. Great dim sum. What’s not to like? Price wise, it’s rather expensive compared to other dim sum places in Copenhagen, but it’s totally worthed. I still dream about this place sometimes. Hmmm… dim sum…

Chinese food just how you would expect. I’d give the food and atmosphere 4 stars, meaning it is pretty good, but not great. They loose another star due to the lack of attention and detail in service. They could easily focus more on timeliness and friendliness.

my perfect sunday is having a great, lingering lunch of dim sum with good friends; and this was certainly one of those days. the service was unusually polite and friendly for a chinese restaurant, and the vietnamese ice coffee was just right. we ordered all the good stuff; ha gao(shrimp dumplings), fried wontons, chicken and seafood meatballs wrapped in crispy fried noodles, and obviously char siu bao. everything was perfect, we even greedily ordered seconds of the radish cakes, cheung fun(rice noodle rolls), and siu mai. the only downside is that it’s a little bit more expensive than fu hao, but i’ll definitely be back.

The Dim Sum is very good, the service is good too. But I kinda miss a Teenage boy who use to work in the afternoon to early evening on Saturday. But the Food is for 5 Stars and the Service too. Last time I ate at Royal Garden was December 23th It’s cheap and you can eat in groups and alone.

The best place in Copenhagen for Chinese Sunday Tea(dim sum), in my opinion. The food itself is worth 5 stars, but the service is lousy and non-smiling though if you are a regular you have a very different treatment! The prices are pretty steep for 6 – 7 little pieces of dim sum(300 kr — ~50 $) so if you are hungry pick something from the dinner menu!
