Definitely one of the best jazz and rock bars in Copenhagen and is placed on a very nice and hip street. In December they have the best and strongest gløgg I ever had!

Nice bar, good atmosphere, and a LOT of people. There is cozy lighting with candles that seem to have been burning for years, a piano in the corner, and even a hidden little room you can sit on couches and is more relaxed! The bartenders were a little slow at the start, because there were so many people but they were really nice and knew how to mix drinks well. Big plus for them having Augustiner Beer! Realy Bavarian beer is hard to find in bars anywhere! I will definetly come back here, the prices are alright they are open late which is a plus!

I do like this place! It’s simple and it’s good for an early hangout to have a talk and a drink. It is quite small so you have to be quite lucky to find a table, which I somehow always manage to do! I guess you just need to wait a bit or be early enough there. They have board games you can borrow to play and the candles they light in the night make it very cosy and«hyggeligt» as Danes say. The variety of drinks is quite different from other bars which I like! They have a good variety of bottled beers and they do serve good wine for around 50−60dkk for a glass. Furthermore they sometimes have live music which you can check from their site. Will definitely visit again. The only down side is that it is slightly more expensive than other bars because of its more unique drink menu.

I love this place… the more I discover about Copenhagen, the better it gets. I came here last night with a friend for the first time and had been meaning to try. To me, it’s a typical cozy bar in Norrebro in the best way possible. It is very hyggelig with candles, the cozy corners, and the lighting. The music is the perfect background music, and the staff are very friendly. Even if it’s your first time there, they make you feel like it’s your neighborhood bar. The prices are typical Copenhagen prices so no shocker there, and they had a nice assortment of different higher scale beers and decent wine. I am definitely coming back and can actually recommend that whole street. So many great galleries, shops, and bars. I can’t wait to come back and hear live music here!

I really liked the place and it’s concept, but I’ll be strict with my rating. Once you’re in, it smells like church because of the candles(oh, so many candles!). 3 minutes later you’re getting used to it, so it’s OK. Then you realize how small it is. You must be very lucky to find a seat, so we were standing. Decoration was nice in my opinion and felt very cosy. I also loved the music(blues/jazz). Now the drinks! Anything with alcohol is expensive, and that’s because they’ve chosen to have distinct brands. Some will say they want appear cultivated or something(kind of hipster attitude), but is not bad to stand out from the other bars. I guess they have a specific target group of costumers, that they don’t need to be so many to fill up the place. Same goes to non alcoholic drinks, but coffee and tea are from chap to normal prices.

Hahahahaha this is the most pretentious place I’ve ever been to. 86 kr(10 pounds UK!) for a gin and tonic?!? And you put a slice of cucumber in it??? This is where boring people come to when they want to pose and feel cultured about drinking some whiskey that’s been cured for 2 years longer in a barrel of rosewood to give it that distinctive autumnal note… bullshit hahaha! The establishment is only too happy to oblige and rid them of their excess cash. Service was cold; no smile of course(perhaps she was feelin blue). This is the worst in smug Danish pretentiousness. Miles would’ve never come here. =^D

Everytime I go to Kind of Blue, it reminds me of the small passionate jazz venues in The Village, New York City. The atmosphere is absolutely amazing, the staff are second to none, the music is very high-end and tasteful — and finally — this is the place where they don’t serve anything bad at all. I highly recommend anyone with a passion for quality to drop by and have a drink.

Kind of Blue is a unique place on copenhagen! I think this is due to the owner, Claus. He is the heart and soul of this place! KOB in it self gets 3.5 Stars, but Claus gets this place 4 stars — actually 4.5!
