Historic and really cozy place. this place is good for more or less anything. In the summer you dont find a rival for enjoying a beer outside overlooking the canal and if you want something more the food is really good. the«flæskestegssandwich» is brilliant and not too expensive whereas the rest of the menu is in the slightly higher price range for a café — but not too bad. the outdoor speaks for itself. the indoor is simple but nice and they often have music or other events(this use to be one of the places Gasolin played) so a rich history when it comes to their musical heritages.

When here with a bunch of friends for a late lunch on a Saturday. First: this place had availability for 17 people at 1:30 in the afternoon, which was pretty amazing. Second: it didn’t look like much from the outside with black paint and a really low entrance but it wasn’t too dark inside. Third: The hamburger I had totally rocked my world. It was really surprising how amazing it was. The beef was cooked really well and the sauces on top of the burger including dried cranberries were phenomenal. Even with all the choices of restaurants in Copenhagen I am definitely going to take my hamburger loving husband this place. The prices were decent and they had a pretty good selection of beers as well.

For a sunny Saturday afternoon, this is a great spot. It’s right on the canal and they have a great outdoor seating area. My friend and I both had the baked goat cheese plate and it was super yummy. The waiter was very nice and we were able to people watch all afternoon. It is a very Copenhagen spot and I would recommend it for it’s great location!

Stumbled across this place after walking for ages in the rain looking for something to eat on our first day in the city. A great find! The place was empty, probably a combination of the rain and the hour. I passed by a few times during better weather, and it seems like they have a great terrace. Service was excellent. Very friendly and quick. She was happy to recommend us a few dishes and her recommendations were spot on. We tried the salmon cakes and a battered fish, can’t remember the exact name. Yum! Portions were small, but between the meal, the beer, and the bread, I left feeling full. Pretty decent beer selection as well. Price is expensive. Again, this was our first meal in the city, so we weren’t quite ready for the shock, but I think it was pretty standard pricing for the quality in this city.

Sofie Kælderen is a pretty big favorite amongst me and my coworkers. Its central location on Christianshavn, combined with outdoor seating on the canal, make it a great spot for after-work drinks. They serve traditional Danish fare after 6pm(and cakes before then) for the inevitable moment when you get hungry, though I admittedly have never tried anything, despite going there regularly. They don’t have any happy hour specials, but the environment is convivial, and they have local musicians coming into play on occasion as well. The space is also available for private parties, if you’re looking for that sorta thing.
