Best processed-meat Shawarma in copenhagen! It can’t compete with the real 100% meat of the best: Beyti on Nørrebrogade, but still. This is one of those special places. Run by a burly but very friendly and somewhat. noble Turkish man who somehow is able to serve 10 people at once. There is basically one thing this place is famous for: shawarmas. He makes his own bread for the durum wrap(rather than buying it readymade) and heats it up before making your shwarma and that is one reason for the magical quality of the shawarmas, but there’s something more, I don’t know… maybe it’s crack, cos ppl are addicted to these and the tiny shop is never empty. There’s a certain blend of spices that the meat has, that I’ve just not come across before. Just stand outside and let the aroma waft into your nostrils… you’ll see what I mean. BTW, yes this place looks like a dive but don’t judge a book by it’s cover. Also… it’s ridiculously cheap. I think a shawarma is 22 kr(durum wrap) or 17 kr(pita bread) at lunchtime and 25&20 kr after.
