I’ve biked by this place so many times on the way to Kebabistan, but I’m glad I gave them a shot. I mean, if you’re gonna get a durum shawarma then you should still go to Kebabistan. But if you want a bigger meal at a low price, then have a look in here. They offer the most popular Turkish grill dishes and of course the obligatory pita, durum, burgers, and hotdogs. I went with Adana Shish Kebab(69 dkk) and although the menu warned that it was spicy, I still ordered a little pot of chili sauce(5 dkk). This was unnecessary and I only ended up using a bit because the meat was actually quite spicy. It also comes with flatbread, rice(or bulgur or fries), salad, tzatziki, and some pickles. The flatbread was very nice and flaky, I wish I ordered some hummus to mop up with it. I also got the lentil soup(35 dkk) which comes with pita and more pickles. Not the best lentil soup I’ve had but still flavourful and hit the spot on a cold windy night. This was more than enough food for two meals for me, and it tasted great. We ordered online to pick up in the restaurant and although we were 3, they cheerfully let us pay separately like the cheapskates we are. Good food, good service, low price.

This small but cheerful shop has an open fire pit where they grill kebabs like it was their job! OH wait… They do a good job of it though and the meat is tender and juicy with a nice flame grilled flavor. They have nice salads and of course the standard Ayran, salty turkish yogurt drink, to accompany it. I don’t think you can say anything is CHEAP in Copenhagen but this place is pretty close!

One of my favorite shawarma places in Vesterbro. You can get a pita shawarma for 29 kroner, service is fast and there’s lots of space for you to sit and chow down. Every other shawarma place I’ve been to usually seats no more than 4 or 5 people. So props to this place!
