Valentino is a business that I have been hesitant to review since I moved back to Frankfurt over a year ago. I’ve been hesitant because it was my local café… literally right across the street from my flat. For some reason, when I get attached to a place based on the staff and my connection with it, I don’t review the place until I leave the area. Well, I’m going to give Valentino the credit the deserve now and not later. This café is located in a very residential neighborhood a stone’s throw away from Rebstockpark. They open at 7am and close around 7pm(can be later in the summer or if they have events going on). They have free wifi. They also have events throughout the summer for kids(BOUNCEHOUSES… hell yes). This place’s marketing and targeting towards the right clientele is impeccable and so commendable. So, I must admit, I’m a café nut. But I’m not really into places that are swarming with children as I’m, more often than not, working when I go to cafes. Valentino attracts families for sure. I don’t usually sit here for long as a result as I’m easily distracted and just want to play with all the toys in the back playroom(which, yes, exists). But, I am still here in on a near daily basis. They have great breads, pastries, and baked goods. Their butter croissants are money. Their baguettes too. On Sundays, they have an all you can eat buffet. This will run each patron around 10 Euros. And it is good! It offers a variety of foods and is Mediterranean inspired. I couldn’t stop eating the cucumber, tomato, and sheep’s cheese salad(reminded me of a lovely Balkan shopska salad! YUM). I have also been there during summer BBQs and it was stellar. The best thing about Valentino has to be the customer service. Every single person working there is incredible and attentive. If this sounds like the type of place you would like to experience or hang out at, I can’t recommend it enough!!!

Love this place! used to live opposite and since I have moved I still go back weekly to pick lovely bread rolls and croissants. They have a range of take away drinks and baked goods as well as a full sit down menu. On Sundays they have a brunch which is a nice range of food largely inspired by the Mediterranean cuisines. its affordable and always good, although warning its very popular and would be advisable to book a spot in advance! They put a large emphasis on families with a separate kids play room and in summer they put on bouncy castles for the kids and different activities. There is also BBQs and summer fun for the adults too! They owners are incredibly nice and you will always be served with a smile! If you are in the area go and grab a coffee :)
