Filthy: I have been to this lounge two times now in September 14&15. Last year it was so dreadful that I thought for sure they would make some improvements, but it’s actually worse. The carpets and upholstered chairs are absolutely filthy. It feels like a 3rd world lounge, not one in Munich. The terminal it is in(Not BA’s fault) is also a dungeon. BA clearly doesn’t care about customer’s to do something with this place.

First time I have used this lounge and as the stars suggest I’ve been in better. Its not the biggest lounge I have been in so I guess you could call it cozy, for want of a better phrase. You have to find it first which if you spot the signs early enough its ok if you miss one might be a little tricky. Once you find your way there and enter, if you are lucky there might be someone on the front desk, if like me, you will find no one. I think there was only two members of staff on, yes I was there on a Sunday but still. Once staff appeared tickets scanned and we were in. They do not have a sign telling you the wifi code you have to go back and track down a staff member to get the password. The drinks selection is what you would expect beers spirits and soft drinks, for me it was the snacks which disappointed. The options were potatoes with chicken schnitzel or chicken schnitzel with potatoes or some uninspiring sandwiches. Its not the biggest or the best lounge but if you want a comfortable seat a drink and some free wifi it does tick those boxes, are there better lounges out there absolutely but this is the one I could get it so it did its job.

Small, upholstered furniture was filthy, disappointing, selection is lacking, dreadful! The Senator Lounge at in Terminal 2 is 10X better!

Disappointing. I have visited the lounge on several occasions, at different times of day, and during the week as well as on weekends. The selection of snacks is quite limited and somewhat bland. Choice of drinks is in line with what you would expect, i.e. soft drinks, beer, wine and some spirits. The lounge staff lack customer service skills, or in fact any kind of customer awareness. I have seen staff helping themselves from the snack selection(which is fine), and eating directly in front of it(which is not). Some members of staff are surfing the internet at the welcome desk and/or on the computers provided for customer use. Clean-up work(vacuum cleaning, tidying away food and drink, etc.) usually starts before the last flight has departed. As other reviewers have commented, the location of the lounge is a bit hidden, and there are no toilet facilities within the lounge. Whilst this is somewhat inconvenient, it’s not a massive issue. Some customer service training and attention to detail could do wonders for this place, though.

Very small not great good selection but OK. Toilets are outside of the lounge but clean.

Good enough lounge… a bit difficult to get to. Food and drink selection is fair — nothing spectacular. Staff always seem friendly.

This really is a disappointing lounge. And that’s once(and if!) you can find it. It has some mediocre views of the outside… but not of the planes, just of the drop-off area. It’s a maze of stairs and back alleyways to find it. The gentleman working, whenever I have seen him, is not all that friendly and seems to do very little, leaving many dirty plates and glasses around for quite a long time. Food and drink choices are not that great. WiFi is pretty fast, though, which is a bonus. There are no toilets in the lounge, and you instead have to exit the lounge. They’re sequestered from where the passengers without lounge access are, but there’s nothing to keep them from using them if they know they’re there. It’s better than having no lounge access, of course, but it’s pretty weak within the BA system.

An island of calm close enough to the BA gates. A bit of a chase to get there, turn this way and that, but once through the door the hush is noticable. Lots of magazines and newspapers, helpful staff, lots of beverage choices.

A pleasant enough spot to while away some time before your flight. Since Munich Terminal 1 has very few airside places to relax, it can be a godsend.
