Café Camera

Waren angenehm überrascht!
Von außen kurz überlegt, aber dann doch reingegangen. Und innen ist es echt nett eingerichtet und das Lokal war auch rappelvoll Mittag. Essen war einfach aber sehr lecker. Auf einen Sonderwunsch wurde ohne Aufpreis eingegangen. Bedienung sehr freundlich.
Fazit: Kleiner Geheimtipp zum Mittagessen wenn man da mal unterwegs ist und schnell was gutes und solides Essen will.

Das Café Camera gehört zum Hotel Achterbahn, lohnt aber so oder so den Besuch. Es ist interessant eingerichtet, gemütlich und das Mittagessen (abends war ich leider noch nicht da) ausgezeichnet. Die Tageskarte bietet immer eine gute, günstige Auswahl. Man kann jedoch auch auf die Hauptkarte ausweichen, wenn mehr Alternativen gefragt sind. Es kommen sowohl Vegetarier (tolle Salate!) als auch Fleischesser (Schnitzeltag!) auf ihre Kosten.
Abends finden regelmäßig Kunst– und Musikveranstaltungen statt. Das Personal war zu mir und meinen Kollegen immer sehr freundlich. Guter Laden!

This small little chic place & restaurant is probably the best place to go if you are in the Oktoberfest /​Theresienwiese area and you are craving for a good food at a reasonable price. There is a rich international selection of dishes in their menu and you constantly can get here the famous traditional German breakfast with sausages and beer, many German dishes are available, the Italian foods are not missing and they are delicious and you can even find delicious Asian food added on their daily menu. A little tip: since the owners are 2 Romanian brothers, Adi and Mona, a good Romanian meal can be also ordered, even if it’s not always on the menu of the day. The portions are generous, the service is always fast, attentive and friendly and they are constantly bringing up new ways of delighing their guests. Some of my favourites: the Mojito and Mai Tai cocktails are great, the kaese spaetzle, the american burger done a la Café Camera carte, the thai or indian curry are delicious, the tasty big pancakes etc, all are meals that I always order with pleasure.
They have nice daily actions for certain dishes, guaranteed to cost only 5.90 E the entire day. My favourites: Monday, Schnitzel day, also from white meat, Tuesday, Pasta day, Thursday, Burger day with their famous delicious Café Camera burger and Friday, Fish day. And if you love a well done Bavarian dish with pork, Wednedsday is your day, Roast pork day at only 5.90E, however, pork is rarely on my mostly healthy menu hehehe, but I did tried it and if you like pork, it certainly competes with the one that I tried in the famous Hofbrauhaus. I was many times in their restaurant also during lunch time and whatever was on their menu at lunch time is guaranteed to be at a very acceptable price while having a delicious taste and a generous size to take you through the rest of the day. If you think this place is just another good restaurant in town, you are mistaken. I know them since 2010 and this place offers a little multi culti atmosphere as well, interesting art can be found on their walls and some can even be bought if interested, many local artist or international artists and bands are brought here to sing in the little stage corner that even has a lovely purple piano. and join them up, it’s always nicer to eat with some live music and dear friends around. It’s a place where art, music, culture and friends gather together to enjoy a nice evening. I also was at a few events that rented Café Camera for the entire night, like birthday parties, weddings, football public viewings, Oktoberfest parties, live concerts etc, all can be easily and very nicely organized in this location that allows flexibility in menu, drinks, music and atmosphere, as soon as you talk with the owners.
And if you enjoy the time so much that you don’t want to go home anymore, remember that they also own a lovely hotel in the back of the Café Camera, called Hotel Achterbahn (Rollercoaster) with 8 colourful thematic rooms that you could book maybe. Check their site here

Das Café sieht innen nett aus und das Angebot auf der Karte ist ansprechend. Allerdings haben wir dort nicht gegessen, da unser Groupon Gutschein nicht mehr angenommen wurde, weil man nach eigener Aussage bereits genug Gutscheinkunden hatte. Schade, dann sollte man lieber solche Aktionen gar nicht erst anbieten, wenn einen die Kunden damit nerven und man seine potentiellen Gäste als Belästigung/​Schmarotzer empfindet und das auch so kommuniziert.

Eine echte Bereicherung für die Ecke hier. Ansonsten kann man Mittags nur auf Döner und Leberlässemmel ausweichen.
Wie oben schon erwähnt ist der Schnitzeltag absolut empfehlenswert, die anderen Tage aber schon auch. Außerdem super nette Bedienungen, wir werden mittlerweile schon mit Handschlag begrüßt ;-)

Toller Laden, leckeres essen, nette Bedienungen und die Live Konzerte und DJs sind echt etwas ganz besonderes… z.B.: Nils Frevert (Ex-​Band National Galerie), DJ Ivo und Ocker (leider ausgefallen)… echt ein Geheim-​Tip gerade auch zur Mittagspause …

Essen super. Leider ist die Einrichtung eher schlicht und ohne Flair. Für ein romantischrs Datenicht zu empfehlen

Montag ist schnitzeltag für 5,90EUR. Lecker und günstig. Gutbürgerliche Küche für günstig. Atmosphäre gemütlich.
