Pjazza is a lively Italian place. However, I don’t think it’s worth the price. Further, the owner is one of the most rude and arrogant persons I have ever come across. We were a big group of 17 persons and seated upstairs. I don’t how, but we accidentally broke a plate. We of course apologized and even offered to pay for it. The owner did not accept this, started claiming we were too noisy and bothering other guests and threatened to throw us out. He then disappeared so we couldn’t sort things out. The rest of the staff seemed embarrassed by his behaviour — apparently this wasn’t the first time there have been similar incidents. We paid and left, and will not go back. A shame really, the place has potential but if the owner doesn’t appreciate our business, we can happily go elsewhere in the future.

Came here for lunch as I heard their pizzas were good and was not disappointed. The venue is huge, there’s lots of space so don’t worry to bring the whole family. On Sundays they serve brunch and play live music to add up to the experience. I have not tried their a la carte menu but I heard that it’s good and the wine selection is quite varied. Recommend the pizzas though as they resemble a lot of pizzas made by real Italian recipes.

Sunday brunch: live music, happy waiters, glutein free pizza. What’s not to like? Only missing freshly squeezed orange juice which I feel should be a given at eur 27,00 brunch especially when sparkly can be substituted to oj.

Food was good, antipasti and pasta were excellent. A little bit of work is needed on the desserts. No mint in my Crema Catalana, please. The best thing about Pjazza is the cocktail bar! It is simply awesome and the cocktails that Angelo mixes from homemade infusions and more exotic liquors(Mezcal, Pisco) are the hippest in Helsinki.

I’ve had brunch at Pjazza twice, and remain unimpressed. The service is not always very friendly, and the food is heavy as hell and clearly overpriced. It’s not that the food is bad, it isn’t, but it’s just not worth the price, especially as they run out of some items in the middle of the whole thing.
