Michelin Star Haute Cuisine At its Best
Wow! Wow! Wow! Jacky Michel in the town of Chalons-​en-​Champagne is a gastronomique experience not to be missed. We wanted to celebrate a special birthday while we were staying at the Château Etoges and this multi-​award winning restaurant was the single most preferred recommendation. It’s located in the Hotel d’Angleterre about 40 minutes from the village of Etoge. We chose to go on a Monday when it was not crowded and we were given the royal treatment. Chef Jacky Michel was in house on our evening and he and the fantastic waiter, Theirry, went above and beyond to make our evening memorable. One of the members in our party was a vegetarian and France is not exactly known for vegetarian presentations. There was not a veggie option on the menu, but what the kitchen cooked up was incredibly beautiful, served in courses along with our meals. Amuse bouche, oysters, scallops, lamb, duck, rich desserts, followed by a candy cart-​start to finish was out of this world. We were so impressed with every dish and the service was impeccable. It’s obvious that everyone associated with the restaurant takes great pride in their work. As we finished, Chef Jacky Michel escorted us to the door and thanked us for coming. People from all over France make the trek to his restaurant and we understand why. First class all the way. Jacky Michel and staff went above and beyond any expectations. It was the perfect birthday and anniversary celebration. Worth every penny. A must visit. Obviously reservations are critical.

Pour une soirée réussie, apéritif obligatoire dans le bar antichambre ou vous dégusterez outré une coupe de champagne les succulentes mises en bouche du chef. Puis pas de retenues, Langoustine, carre d’agneau, vins de bourgogne ou de bordeaux tout est fait pour enchanter vos papilles.
Le service de qualité vous fera peut être un instant oublié le montant de la note.
