Wir haben zu fünft den Weihnachtsmarkt in Colmar besucht; die fünf verschiedenen Weihnachtsmärkte haben es uns beim letzten Mal schon begeistert. Um die Mittagszeit hatten wur Hunger — und wie es der Zufall wollte: alle elsässischen Restaurants «complet», auch unser Favorit in Colmar: das «Maison Rouge».
Per Zufall sind wir im Touareg gelandet, nach außen ein kleines Bistro — wenn man jedoch die Treppe in den hinteren Teil hinunter geht, dann fühlt man sich nach Marokko versetzt. Ein riesiger natursteinkeller tzt sich auf, mit Empore und wunderschön mit Tischen, Teppichen und Kissen eingerichtet.
Wir tranken Tee aus silbernen Kannen, hatten leckere Suppe und danach Couscous und Tagine. Alles extrem lecker und schön angerichtet. Der Service ist zuvorkommend und herzlich –fast familiär.
Wir haben uns wunderbar zu Hause gefühlt und kommen gerne wieder.

Nous y sommes allés le 16.10. 13 en début de soirée, avons été reçu comme des Princes, superbe accueil, beaucoup d’attention pour le client, très belle table, et excellente cuisine. Le serveur, est super sympathique et toujours disponible, il est remarquable, félicitation et merci. Nous y avons passé une très belle soirée. Nous né pouvons que recommander cet établissement, vous né serez pas déçu. Nous reviendrons certainement. Encore merci.

This place has a great interior, and I’ve only seen the area in the ground floor (there’s another room downstairs). Outside seating is also available and quite nice in the evening.
Their menu looks ok, but we only went there for drinks, so I cannot say anything about the taste.
The funny thing was we went there at about 11 pm, and all tables but one were free. It began getting chilly outside so we sat down inside — but were asked to take a seat outside because «inside for dining only». Wow, were they expecting a bus load of hungry tourists at this time?
OK let’s sit outside. Then we experienced the biggest backdraw of this place: Everything takes ages. To get the menu. To get someone to ask you what you want. To get your order (a coffee and a mint tea). To get some sugar for the coffee. To ask for the bill. To get the bill. We then left with the money on the table…
All in all: Nice looking place, the tea was excellent (made with fresh spearmint leaves), but service just too slow (and weird concept «drinks only outside»).

Très bon restaurant, allez-​y… yeux fermés et bouche ouverte, c’est succulent, un vrai délice, endroit reposant, music de qualité, genial le tout, nous avons aimé.

De somptueuses salles, l’accueil chaleureux de Yassin et de son épouse et de très bon plats. Que demander de plus … Parfois un peu de délai dans le service, mais l’attente en vaut le coup. Et né sommes-​nous pas là pour nous détendre … Ce n’est pas un fast-​food.
