Stopped here for a coffee and croque monsieur, while on a mission to find a hair stylist. The hair stylist was a failed mission, but the croque monsieur was A-OK. I have definitely had better, by far. Think ham on soft bread with toasted cheese on top. But for 6 € my sandwich and fries were served hot in under 10 minutes fully serving its purpose. Feeding a hungry lion! After tasting a partially effervescent lemonade, I opted to pass on the coffee. l’d rather not risk the disappointment. Though my friend who ordered the cappuccino said it was good. Vauban is a surprisingly large brasserie, which being located near several schools is a convenient place for students to gather after a brain drain. There are many tables and chairs on the sidewalk in front of the brasserie, while small tables and booths make up the inside. Service is friendly with a smile. If you are not a fan of smoking I wouldn’t sit out front. Sometimes the smoke carries inside as well, so avoid the first two tables at the entrance. Otherwise it’s a nice place for a fairly priced bite to eat.
