Escale Oceania Vieux port

Excellent deal, service, room/​breakfast and location!
It’s right next to the port but doesn’t have the big port view (at least for me) but it didn’t matter as I could see the see and nice street view from my window.
Room and bathroom was renovated and so clean. I stayed at Deluxe double and the room was huge. Big comfortable queen size bed with additional sofa-​bed looking coach next to the bed.
Breakfast offers almost everything including crêpe, breads, ready-​to-​boil egg (you do it by yourself), different kinds of yogurt, cheese and cereal. Coffee wasn’t good as the machine seems to make all same coffee but just get one outside if you need real hand-​made espresso.
Free wifi works great and it gets noisy at night from the street despite of thick window but it’s Marseille… you can’t avoid easily. Get ear plugs if you are sensitive to noise. It’s quite in the morning.
Very conveniently located to get to metro (literally cross the street), port to take a ferry or just walk around shops or go out to eat.
Highly recommended.

I’m really glad that we stayed here while visiting Marseille. The location couldn’t be better– a cheap cab ride (and seriously, trust me, TAKE A CAB from the train station, you have to pass through some really dangerous areas and it’s very inexpensive) and right next to the most beautiful, tourist-​friendly parts of the city (Vieux Port and Le Panier). This is a big, nice hotel with large, clean, beautiful rooms. We had a balcony that looked over a very busy street, but you could see the harbor from there, which was nice. The room and bed were spacious. Maid service every day, a working safe in the room, and Wi-​Fi that was strong and generally reliable, although it did go down for a little while a few times during our 8-​day stay. The one funny detail is that the toilet and shower are in separate rooms within the hotel room. One thing that we didn’t like was that they offered breakfast, but for a totally outrageous price. I would definitely recommend staying here, overall– well worth the money, even just for the location, let alone how nice it was.

In a big city like Marseille you have to be ready for bums and dirtiness on their busiest famous street. We got in late around 11pm and the man at the front was so nice and welcoming and so excited about the museum exhibits in town we couldn’t help but let him finish and print out maps and info. Room size was great for being in the old port (vieux port) separate bathroom from toilet which is nice but no sink in the toilet room. Very clean, bathroom is new and single sink but shower and separate tub. Fridge would have been nice. Balcony view and transportation ease a 10! Would definitely recommend this place for a Marseille visit but be ready for bums and dirty streets outside your busy door.

Nice clean rooms in a very central location. The room we stayed in had a great view of the harbor and the shopping area. The rooms are clean but smaller than anticipated.
The staff were all great and made some nice recommendations.

Sympa et super bien placé
Un hôtel que je pratique de temps en temps. Il a été entièrement refait dans le cadre de la rénovation de Marseille. Chambre et Salle de bain de bon niveau. Seul regret l’étroitesse de la salle de petit déjeuner, surtout quand l’hôtel est complet ! Ce qui est fréquent car cet hôtel pratique du low cost sur les principaux sites de résa…

Super !
J’adore cet hôtel ! Il est en centre ville donc pratique, il y a une vue sur le vieux port imprenable. Les chambres sont spacieuses et agréables et les prix sont corrects. C’est notre hôtel attitré sur Marseille.

C’est magnifique
J’y suis allée deux fois pour manger au restaurant, eh ben, pour trouver mieux faut le faire. C’est un restaurant gastronomique, mais c’est trop bon, fin et raffiné. Les entrées, les plats et les desserts sont succulents. Le cadre est magnifique. Cependant c’est très cher. En tout cas je vous conseille le restaurant car il est excellent.
