A charming Bistro, just as it should be, with good food, well chosen wines and efficient and friendly service. The menu includes some classic dishes and some specialities of the region. The owner, the very friendly Monsieur G. welcomed and seated every guest arriving himself, which certainly adds to the atmosphere. Soon some good bread and homemade spread arrived with my glass of wine, which I had ordered instead or as an aperitiv. Feeling adventures(usually do), I ordered the tête de veau, which was served«off the bone» on a big plate of salad, with pan fried potatoes, vinaigrette and sauce gribiche on the side. Although I helped my delicious food down with some more good wine, I had to decline dessert, as I was quite satisfied and had a good espresso instead. Of the wines I especially enjoyed a Pinot Noir from Alsace. When I asked the waiter who the producer was, he came back with name, address and telephone number. Good thing, as I was in Alsace a few days later and looked up the vigneron, Domaine René Kientz in Blienschwiller, where I found some more good wines at decent prices.
