Yea we were lured in by the very nice and friendly lady, this was our first night trip here in Nice. We were looking for a place to eat. Since I love paella I went for it, the nice lady in front recommended it too and we were recommended with mussels with white wine. The male server we had was unfriendly… The paella was BAD very bland! The fish inside the paella had a lot of scales, bones, squid tasted old and dry, every seafood even the chicken inside it was very very bland. The mussels with wine was good until in the process of eating it I saw a styrofoam balls inside the food –_​-​” then we showed the server… Take note he didn’t apologize at all or felt bad at all, he said «thats ok, this is not dangerous» (with a smirk), my husband said «that’s ok???» Then the server ate it and even made mmmm mm sound like it was very delicious (obvious sarcasm to us both).
At the end when we asked for the bill (it was the lady), then different guy server came to assist us asked what’s wrong with the food, ofcourse we said it was flavorless. Then our original server came to pick up the payment and he made a sarcastic comment go sound as if he was choked with the styrofoam… Then my husband said «its not funny», the server said «it is funny». Then he asked us if we were here for holiday vacation, we said yes. The sever guy said «don’t cry its your holiday», my husband yes why do we need to cry? Then the server said «maybe you can just cry». I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL, SO UNPROFESSIONAL, NO MANNER, RUDE, HORRIBLE ATTITUDE.

L’assiette de dégustation niçoise était très correcte, sauf peut être les beignets. Les légumes farcis me furent délicieux.

Probably wouldn’t have eaten here had we read the other review. I had the same meal as the husband in the other review. Worst meal we had in Nice. The fried eggplant and zucchini was heavily battered it tasted like the oil it was fried in. Blech! I pulled the batter off to eat the veggies. The beef on spaghetti was ok. The beef had a lot of flavor but it didn’t go well with the pasta. I had the crème brûlée — vanilla pudding with raw sugar that wasn’t burned all the way. Husband had the seafood pasta– flavorless. He didn’t even finish it.
It’s busy, so you think it’s popular but don’t go. Service was fine but doesn’t make up for the bland meal.

My husband and I originally had selected another restaurant based off reviews, but it unfortunately didn’t open until 730p and we were so tired from the days activities that we just wanted to eat early, but somewhere good.
We selected this place because of the reviews, but notice not many people actually indicated what they ordered. People just said it’s good, so we gave it a shot.
The lady that had to stand out in the cold greeting people was very friendly and welcoming. She sealed the deal since we were still unsure. We were seated by the window inside where it was still warm. It was a great ambiance and set up. I must say though that the pop countdown of music videos was really distracting for both of us. There were mirrors everywhere, so watching the videos was unavoidable.
First we received bread. Sliced in huge pieces, cold, hard, with no plates and no butter. We ate over our napkins…
The waiters were really friendly and welcoming throughout the night. They were definitely the highlight of the restaurant.
My husband ordered the set menu. The first platter was battered zucchini and eggplant over salad with wasabi dressing. Nothing special and the dressing tasted out of place at the restaurant.
Second platter was beef in cubes over linguini pasta with a beef sauce. Beef was tender and cooked well. Portions were enough, but clearly smaller in the set menu then off the regular entrée order if you are looking at value in comparison. The overall dish was mediocre and just average.
The 3^rd is the crème brûlée. Good taste, but it was almost like eating pudding.
I ordered the bolognese liguini. It was huge and could probably feed 3, but it wasn’t good. It was dry and had no sauce. The meat was a bit gross because I kept having to remove cartilage from bites of ground beef. I left mosy of it.
So for my rating breakdown it would be…

5 star warmth /​ambiance minus the music videos
2 star food
Seems like a good spot for drinks.
