Assagio

Lovely Italian restaurant buried in the Marais. We ate outside in a heat wave, last night, and everything was simple but high quality. Classic Mozzarella and ham starter and an assortment of small pizzas was perfect for this weather. A very good bottle of an organic Chianti went well with everything else. Even the sparkling water was good and the coffee was noticeably better than quite a lot of other restaurants. Too hot and too late for a dessert… but they looked great. Recommended.

I cannot believe this restaurant only has 4 reviews. I am not surprised that they are all by locals either, since this appears to be an establishment frequented by locals. We originally attempted to get a table at the very popular Tripadvisor restaurant L’ange 20 but they were full for the night. We meandered one block down and over and happened upon Assaggio. Are we ever happy that we did! The ambiance was warm and cozy and the food was utterly tasty and fantastic. We were surrounded by French diners and were the only English speaking guests. The waiter was pleasant, helpful and recommended the best dishes to try. We ordered a bottle of Pinot Noir, a pizzette sampler, 1 linguine dish, 1 order of risotto, two orders of dessert and a digestive (limencello) and the total came to 124 Euros, which I thought was very reasonable. During dessert the chef paid a special visit to our table and we chatted for a few minutes. This was a sweet touch. The relaxing local non-​touristy ambiance, excellent food and attentive service are all of the reasons why I would recommend this restaurant!

C’est vrai que de l’extérieur, ça semble un italien classique… mais vraiment délicieux.
Les pâtes sont excellentes et les pizzas absolument fantastiques.
Bref, on se régale à tous les niveaux…
On a fait l’impasse sur les desserts car trop bien servis !!!

Embarquee par un italien. Risotto au top. Bön vin italien :) bonne petite adresse parisienne !

Je suis retournée deux fois dans ce resto après ma première visite (3 fois en moins de 2 mois; oui je suis fan!) et il y a quand même un petit truc qui né va pas: le pain. Ils tombent systématiquement en rade de pain en fin de soirée. Ca devient lassant. Et pas top pour déguster leur délicieuse assiette de caponata, bressaola et pecorino, ou saucer l’assiette des spaghetti alle vongole. Bref, j’y retournerai. Ma baguette sous le bras.
