This was my second hotel in my stay in Paris and was such a relief after my first hotel. I was greeted by Helaine who by the end of my stay I wanted to take her home with me. So nice and very helpful. The hotel itself was located in the perfect area. Close to sights to see, right on the Rome Metro station and just a short train ride away from most everything. My room was just what I needed, I opted for a smaller room with a twin bed as I traveled by myself and this was perfect. The room also had a small table and a mini fridge which was so convenient being that I was there for 6 days. There was not much of a view but again I as in Paris and out seeing the sites I was good for a quiet area at night. There was wifi in the room but it was hit and miss and not always easy to connect to. The bathroom was great a easy to step in shower, sink and hairdryer. The additional staff at the desk were great including Helaine :), Said, Kristima and Nicolas. They all had great personalities and made the stay so much better. The area was great, from this hotel I walked to Moulin Rouge, Parc de Monceau, Sacre Couer and some other great neighborhoods. This Hotel will be my go to stay when I am in Paris and I do hope that in the next couple of years I make it back. Thank you Hotel Berne Opera.

Decent hotel that is right by the Opera metro station in Paris. As seen in some of the pictures on here the rooms have nice views, mine however did not. It was right next to a train station and if it was really quite in the room you could hear the trains coming and going but was not annoying. The breakfast was down in the sub-basement and you could pick either continental of a full warm breakfast. I thought the price for the full breakfast was a bit of a ripoff though. The room was clean and the bathroom was average. The pillows I found to be way too this. Eventually I found an extra one in the closet and that helped a bit. The room also had A/C that you could control yourself.

My wife and I have just returned to New York from Paris where we spent 8 nights at Hotel Berne Opèra from 4÷10÷2014 until today, 12/10/2014. The service and amenities were nice. For the mist part the staff were wonderful. The night before our departure, at The front desk’s urging, I booked the minibus for CDG airport for next day @ 11:15 a.m. and duly paid the € 18 in cash to the front desk. On Sunday, the 12th, I was informed by Receptionist Helen 9:30 approx. that the bus was booked for 13:15, which was wrong. I had it corrected. We returned @ 11:05 to check out and meet the bus when Helen told me I owed the € 18 to the hotel. I informed her that I’d paid it the night before. This woman immediately adopted a most hostile and adversarial tone in informing me that I had not paid and that if I did not pay immediately she would call the bus company and cancel our booking, and this with our 14:00 flight looming. I told her in no uncertain terms to not cancel my booking. She was most threatening in this regard. I politely told her that I had indeed paid and would show her my receipt when I returned from the room with our luggage. She brushed aside my words and in effect implied that I was lying. My wife and myself AND guests present in the lobby were appalled by and embarrassed for this woman. Upon returning to the lobby I showed Ellen my receipt from the night before and she sheepishly admitted to a clerical error on the part of reception. I must tell you how insulted and angry I was at this treatment and I feel deeply that this incident caused by this person cast a dark stain upon our time in Paris. Also, the maids discarded some of my toilet articles and repeatedly shorted us on towels and strangely enough, pillow cases. I would not stay there again.

This was a great find — a 3-star hotel in a residential area with great customer service. We arrived on a late afternoon and were warmly greeted by the front desk person. While our actual room was not ready upon arrival, they gave us an adequate room for the evening and then the rest of our 10-night stay was in a nice, large, modernly-upgraded room with a nice city view. The bathroom still looked like it could use a modern touch, but the room was very impressive. Our stay was during the winter and the temperature inside the room was around 75 — it was nice and toasty… to cool it down, we just opened the large windows and it really wasn’t a big deal. The location was great — a 15 minute walk to Arch de Triumph and a 20 minute walk to Montmartre. This is not at all a touristy area, which I definitely appreciate — you could really feel like a Parisian. It’s very close(a 2 minute walk) to the«Rome» Metro station and there are grocery stores, bakeries and restaurants all within walking distance from the hotel. The customer service was excellent and all staff members were friendly and spoke English, which made everything much easier for our vacation. If you are looking for a great hotel experience, this is a very good choice. The price point was very nice too — although it was during the low-season in late November-early December, our room was only about $ 100/night — what a deal! Breakfast was also available(not included in the cost of the room), but we never ate there since there were so many bakeries close-by. Be warned that they are currently renovating the hotel so during the day you may hear some pounding and knocking, but it was always pleasant during the morning and evening and I never felt it was a bother.
